Detroit Pistons center Boban Marjanovic has not been seeing a lot of playing this season with his new team. However, with only 0.2 seconds left in the Pistons and Portland Trail Blazers game on Sunday night, head coach Stan Van Gundy saw a need to field him in.

With his team up 125-124, the 7-foot-3 Serbian international was tasked to raise his hands and make it difficult for the Blazers inbounder to throw the ball near the rim for a possible tip-in.

Some of the Pistons players could not help but have a few laughs as instructions were given to Marjanovic during the timeout and even gave him a few more right before the play.

He may have only played less than a second, but his height and length helped the Pistons secure the victory and kick off their six-game road trip on a high note.

Since signing with Detroit last summer, Marjanovic has only appeared in 15 games and only averages 6.5 minutes per game. But with his efforts on Sunday, it may have given Van Gundy some ideas on how to utilize him in their future games.
