The always polemical Charles Barkley gave us yet another gem on Thursday on the set of Inside The NBA, as the TNT analyst said he didn't like the way the Golden State Warriors play “little girly basketball.”

It didn't take long for his comments to go viral and catch fire on the never-ending chain reaction that is Twitter, drawing reactions from women and men alike.

CSN Bay Area's senior writer Ray Ratto quickly responded with a gem of his own.

But perhaps the most talked about and most impactful response was the one of ESPN's Rachel Nichols, who hosts The Jump alongside analyst Tracy McGrady.

Nichols was respectful, but wittily sharp with her comments, addressing Barkley head on and calling him out for his often eyebrow-raising comments.

She called him out on his use of the word “girly” as “a substitute word for weak or lame,” and while the two had apparently talked about the incident, she wasn't buying any of his excuses — going as far as borrowing one of his colleague's favorite phrases and throwing it right back at him.

“To borrow one of Chuck's own favorite phrases. In my opinion, that is still not good enough to feel okay about using that expression,” said Nichols in reference to Barkley's explanation for his comments on Thursday as McGrady congratulated her rant.

“This isn't a PC police thing; I'm not offended in any way,” added Nichols, a former colleague of Barkley's at TNT. “This is just about girls out there, who love watching Chuck talk about basketball as much as I do, who shouldn't have to grow up feeling that they are the living, human stand-in definition for being less-than or weak. And frankly, young boys shouldn't be growing up thinking that about girls, either.”
