Toronto Raptors swingman Norman Powell has spoken highly of his All-Star teammate Kawhi Leonard.

In their postgame press conference after the Raptors beat the Milwaukee Bucks in double-overtime in Game 3, Powell lauded Leonard for focusing on winning games rather than piling up on the accolades.

“It's amazing. What he's been doing for us all year especially in the postseason. It's been really good for us,” Powell said, per NBA TV. “You know, he's a guy that, all he wants to do is win. He doesn't care about the accolades, the points, as long as he's out there helping the team win. That's good for us.”

“He's a great leader for us and to be able to go out there and be able to play 52 minutes and lead the team with his voice in the timeouts telling to stay calm, stay in the moment. It's amazing to have a guy like that on the team.”

Leonard scored a game-high 36 points for the Raptors. He also added nine rebounds and five assists. His breakaway left-handed tomahawk slam in double overtime put Toronto ahead to stay. The win cut the series deficit to 2-1 in favor of the Bucks.

Powell's words are accurate: Leonard is one player who doesn't care about accolades. It shows in his style of play. Expect him to give it all he's got in the Raptors' quest for their first NBA title.
