Rookie Joel Embiid will sit the front leg of the Philadelphia 76ers back-to-back against the Washington Wizards, according to Bob Cooney of the Daily News.

This comes as odd news as teams usually prefer to rest players in back-to-back restrictions on the back leg, as it will allow the player a day or two to rest before the next game.

Even more strange is that the 76ers chose to sit him at a home game and plan to play him on the road tomorrow against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Sixers (1-9) will roll with Jahlil Okafor at center and Ersan Ilyasova at power forward, looking for their second victory of the season. Both Embiid and Okafor will be available for Thursday's matchup against the Timberwolves.
