After their strong start to the season. the Chicago Bulls had dropped four of their last five games leading up to Friday night's matchup against the Charlotte Hornets.

Like the story of their campaign so far, the Bulls once again got off to a good start, leading after the first quarter, 26-22. However, they were not able to sustain their solid play as the game went on and eventually lost, 103-91.

Adding to their woes is the ejection of their starting center, Robin Lopez. During the fourth quarter he laid out both Marvin Williams and Cody Zeller with overstated elbows to the throat. He received a flagrant-2 foul, resulting in an automatic disqualification.

The 28-year-old Stanford product is expected to be fined for his actions and can also face a possible suspension from the league if they deem the foul came with excessive and unnecessary contact.

Lopez is averaging solid numbers this season with 9.6 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game. The Chicago faithful will be hoping fouls of this magnitude won't happen again with their man in the middle. The Bulls can ill afford Lopez missing games with the playoffs in their sights.
