The Houston Rockets are still active buyers on the trade market as they seek a big man to make up for the absence of center Clint Capela.

The Swiss international was sidelined with a fractured left fibula and is likely to remain out at the very least until late January. The Rockets reportedly have their eyes on Sacramento Kings‘ forward Kosta Koufos, who is part of a three-way big man logjam with DeMarcus Cousins and Willie Cauley-Stein in the Kings' frontcourt, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

Koufos is the starting power forward at 7 feet tall, averaging 5.9 points and 5.8 rebounds while only logging 19.7 minutes per game in a Cousins-dominated lineup.

Head coach Dave Joerger prefers to play Koufos around the rim with his skillset in the paint while allowing Cousins to roam around the perimeter and top of the key to create offense for the Kings.

If the Rockets can add Koufos to their lineup, it would allow for some flexibility at the center position and likely cost second-year forward Montrezl Harrell a load of his minutes.

Harrell has performed admirably filling in for Capela, scoring in double digits in three of four games since his injury.
