Russell Westbrook and the Thunder won another one on Sunday. This team is somehow quietly sitting at 3-0 with one of the best players in the league.

Many will say that the Thunder do not deserve much credit because of who they have played so far. OKC has faced the 76ers, Suns, and Lakers – three of the worst teams last season.

But guess what? 3-0 is 3-0 and the Thunder have played the schedule given to them.

Westbrook is looking like a complete force right now. He has two triple-doubles in three games (the first to do that since the great Magic Johnson) and just nearly missed another in the first game of the season. The question that remains now is can he keep it up? Westbrook can only do so much to win games and no player in the league can win them all by themselves.

The true test for the Thunder is coming up quickly. They will be have the next couple days off as they travel to the west coast where they will play the Clippers and the Warriors. The biggest kicker of playing those two teams is that it comes in back-to-back nights. While that might be quite a task for some in the NBA, Westbrook does not seem to be phased by it.

Take a listen below on what Westbrook had to say about the upcoming games.

Chances are that it truly does not matter who OKC is playing because Westbrook is going to try to destroy whoever is against him. Westbrook is never going to make friends with whoever he is facing. If you are trying to stop him then you are his enemy – all that matters is winning.

Time for the Thunder to prove they can run with the big boys this season.
