Russell Westbrook has produced a historic season, one that we may never see again, and he's not done just yet. With his Oklahoma City Thunder staring a 0-3 deficit in the eye late in Game 3 of their first round series against the Houston Rockets, Russ kept on rolling, giving his team's season life.

After a disappointing Game 2 in which Westbrook shot 17-for-43, including 4-for-18 in the fourth quarter, he seemed much more composed just a few nights later. He passed up looks at three-point bombs for attacks at the rim and continued to pass up good shots for great shots.

Following the game, a reporter asked Westbrook how his “supporting cast” fared, a phrase in which he clearly took offense too.

“I don’t have a cast,” Westbrook told Yahoo! Sports. “We are one team.”

OKC certainly looked a whole lot better with Westbrook becoming the ultimate trusting floor general. His assist numbers all season were clearly off the charts, but Game 3 Westbrook was a different kind of animal.

If the Thunder have any chance to get through the first round of this season's playoffs, it's this team centered and trusting Russ that the Thunder so desperately need.
