Shareef O’Neal — son of NBA great Shaquille O'Neal — is starting to make a name for himself in the basketball world, despite his father's former uncertainties about his son playing the sport. Most of the kid’s skill is his own work, but part of it is purely genetics as he stands 6-foot-8 at the age of 16.

O'Neal is already ranked 18th nationally by ESPN for the class of 2018 and has multiple Division 1 scholarship offers, and he knows how to use media to improve his standings.

O’Neal has popped up across the internet in several viral videos, including one of him dunking over his dad and another of him dunking over Jaxon Williams, son of former Kings point guard Jason Williams.

In his most recent video, Shareef O'Neal went up against Ron Artest III, the son of former NBA star Metta World Peace, at the Ron Massey Classic in Los Angeles. While O'Neal's game emulates Anthony Davis more than his father, Artest’s style of play was almost identical to that of his father. It provided a pretty exciting show for anyone in attendance.
