Lonzo Ball has been receiving a lot of attention lately from his dad's absurd comments, and was also part of a lot of headlines because of his performance in the recently concluded NCAA Tournament. However, another cause for him to be much talked about is his awkward looking jumpshot.

One former player that could definitely relate to the criticism he's been getting is Shawn Marion, who like Ball, also had one of the more unusual shot releases. He was recently asked what he thinks of his shooting form and had a special message to his haters. The Matrix even shared his thoughts on LeBron James potentially going after Ball once he enters the NBA.

After being selected ninth overall in the 1999 draft, the former UNLV Runnin' Rebel was heavily criticized for how he shot, as many believed he wouldn't be successful with it in the NBA. However, he proved them all wrong and became one of the most exciting players to watch during his earlier days in the league, especially with his dunks and high-flying drives to the basket.

Despite his unorthodox jumper, Marion had a very successful NBA career. He played in the league for 17 years before deciding to hang his sneakers for good following the 2014-15 season. He suited up for five different teams and was named an All-Star four times, and won a championship in 2011 when he was part of the Dallas Mavericks.
