Future Hall of Famer Manu Ginobili can't help but be impressed by the performance of one of his former teammates back with the San Antonio Spurs in Patty Mills. Mills erupted for 30 points, including 13 in the fourth quarter, to help Australia's Boomers secure a 98-94 victory against Team USA in both teams' second exhibition game in Melbourne.

Despite some of their best players withdrawing their commitment to the Boomers for the upcoming FIBA World Cup, the Aussies still showed heart against Team USA, winning a basketball game over the traditional powerhouse for the first time ever.

Both teams have already faced each other 26 times, including games in the FIBA World Cup and Olympics.

Patty Mills' performance gave the Aussies hope for the upcoming FIBA World Cup, which is set to take place in China from August 31-September 15. They are now more confident about their chances in the tournament than they were a couple of weeks ago. Although this does not guarantee a gold medal, they are now more eager to prove themselves to the rest of the world.

Of course, Mills receiving a huge vote of confidence from Ginobili should motivate him as well. Manu, who was a staple for the Argentinian national basketball team, is considered as one of the best international players of all time, so he knows greatness when he sees one.

As for Team USA, they will have one more exhibition match against the Canadian national team tomorrow before flying to China for the World Championships.
