Stephen A. Smith has always been animated when he shares his views and opinion on-air about different sports topics. On Thursday night, he had to discuss James Harden‘s poor performance in Game 6 of their second round series against the San Antonio Spurs.

The veteran sports show host gave a history of games where Harden also struggled scoring, but he appeared to be completely confused with his facts, and lost track of what he was saying. He had to correct himself a couple of times, which made it difficult for the viewers to completely understand what he was driving at.

While it's very understandable that it's not easy delivering lines with a lot of numbers in only a short period, many still expected better from Smith, given his years of experience being a sports broadcaster.

However, the struggle he had making his point across could have been caused by the shock many felt, including himself, that someone who has been as good as The Beard this year, had a disastrous performance in the most important game of the season for the Rockets.

Harden had a bitter ending to his magnificent season, with only 10 points, on 2-of-11 shooting, seven rebounds, and three assists. The Rockets have now been eliminated in a blowout, 114-75 loss, which is their worst of the year.
