The BIG3 has signed former players Steve Francis, Kendall Gill, Donte Greene, Jumaine Jones, Ronald Murray, Joe Smith, DeShawn Stevenson, Mike Sweetney and Hakim Warrick to their player draft pool, according to the league's official release.

Francis is perhaps the most notable name in the list, having played five seasons for the Houston Rockets before two short stints with the Orlando Magic and the New York Knicks. He averaged 18.1 points, 6.0 assists, and 5.6 rebounds per game throughout his nine-year career.

Founder Ice Cube recently announced the partnership deal with Fox Sports and its sister stations getting broadcast rights to the entire season, providing a primetime “Monday Night Basketball” experience.

The league offers a very exciting three-on-three format, including two substitutes and two coaches per team with stars like Allen Iverson, Chauncey Billups, Jason Williams, Kenyon Martin and Mike Bibby headlining many of the teams.

NBA legends Julius Erving, Clyde Drexler and George Gervin among others, will be in charge of coaching these teams for a very real experience of “former player coaching player” dynamic.

The eight-team league is slated to tip-off June 25 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Teams will travel to 10 different cities during the season, with all games being played in the same venue.
