The Golden State Warriors headed into Saturday morning shootaround with most of their horses ready to go, but there was one key absence making this a different one from most this season.

Head coach Steve Kerr stayed behind at the hotel after feeling ill. Assistant coach Mike Brown filled in for the time being and would do the same if he is unable to coach tonight for Game 3 against the Portland Trail Blazers.

“Obviously it’s different,” Draymond Green told Anthony Slater of the San Jose Mercury News. “Two completely different personalities. But the beat goes on.”

Kerr faced health problems last season, missing the team's first 43 regular season games after experiencing complications from the back surgery he underwent the prior offseason.

The Warriors still have Kevin Durant, Shaun Livingston, and Matt Barnes officially listed as “questionable” for Game 3 and will all likely be a game-time call.

Durant was seen icing his calf after shootaround and having a chat with team president Bob Myers before he went to talk to head trainer Chelsea Lane, who is supervising his recovery.

Game 3 is the most vulnerable game for the Warriors, having lost the last four Game 3s during last year's postseason.

The Blazers also have center Jusuf Nurkic as a game-time call, which could throw another wrench in the equation of what should be a very exciting game.
