Two-time NBA All-Star Klay Thompson scored 60 points in only 29 minutes on Monday night against the Indiana Pacers. It’s safe to say his coach isn’t look to get rid of him, despite last month’s rumors.

After Wednesday’s shootaround in Los Angeles, Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr met with the media, taking the opportunity to make a playful comment about the shooting guard’s availability:

“We're not trading him to Boston,” Kerr said. “Just thought I'd throw that in there.”

The rumor in question is believed to have been started by former Celtics player and member of Warriors’ coaching staff Brian Scalabrine, who claimed that Boston was looking to use their treasure trove of assets to try and acquire Thompson.

Whilst a trade involving the Celtics still remains possible, it’s safe to say they can cross Klay off of their list of targets.
