Steven Adams thinks most things are a joke. Even when the NBA makes formal announcements regarding rule changes.

The Oklahoma City Thunder center and Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green made headline after headline during last year's playoffs due to Green's constant attacking of Adams below the belt.

It became such a big story, that the NBA decided to make it an emphasis this season to look at these types of plays more closely.

In classic Adams fashion, he didn't think the league was being serious with this.

Adams added: “I thought someone hacked them…because it's such a bizarre thing to look at. … We'll see how it goes, mate. I'll let you know.”

It really started in the playoffs last year, but Adams has blossomed into a kind of media darling now with his sense of humor mixed with an accent that always gets a laugh out of media members. Even for a somewhat serious topic like this, he's finding something funny to say about it.

It will be interesting to see just how much this new initiative by the NBA affects this season. The league will definitely have its eye on Green, who has shown a bizarre tendency to kick out at players a lot, but he's probably not the only one who will be caught doing this on the regular.

Whatever happens, we know Adams will make light of it. He doesn't even seem to actually mind it.
