Earlier this week, the Hall of Fame announced its list of nominees for the incoming class featuring some of the best to ever play the game. Former two-time scoring champion and 15-year NBA veteran Tracy McGrady headlined the list, looking to become a finalist should his name receive enough votes from the select panel.

When he was informed about making it to the ballot by his ESPN’s The Jump co-host Rachel Nichols, the former seven-time All-Star could not contain his excitement and disbelief as he never imagined being enshrined to the Hall of Fame could come true for him.

T-Mac played for six different franchises in his stellar career and received a total of seven All-NBA selections while also being hailed as Most Improved Player in 2001, among his achievements. He is popularly known for being a high-flyer with his thrilling dunks and also came clutch when games were on the line.

Perhaps one of the most unforgettable moments in league history was when McGrady played a regular season game for the Houston Rockets back in 2004 and stole the match against the San Antonio Spurs when he scored 13 points in 35 seconds. It will forever be part of his legacy and something very difficult to top or even match.
