Professional athletes are known for their pregame rituals and routines, and Game 7 of the NBA Finals is no time to change it up. The Cavaliers beat the Warriors to win Cleveland’s first professional sports championship since 1964, but if you had seen the team’s respective coaches before the game, you would have never guessed what was about to take place later.

According to Kurt Helin of NBC Sports, Warriors’ coaches Steve Kerr and Luke Walton had quite the relaxing afternoon. Cavaliers’ head coach Tyronn Lue even found time for a nap!

“I mean, it’s a special day, but you try to keep the same routine,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. “So Luke (Walton) and I went to yoga like we always do every game day. You probably didn’t know that, did you? I’m guessing Bill Belichick and his staff don’t do that. Just throwing that out there.”

As relaxing as that sounds, Tyronn Lue may have bested them.

“Pregame we have breakfast, and then we had a walkthrough in the ballroom, and I went back and took my nap like I always do,” said Lue.

Looks like the yoga strategy only works for the regular season. When it comes to the Finals, only a nap will bring you the win.
