The Cavaliers' loss to the Wizards last night meant something to the Warriors as well. Golden State is now guaranteed homecourt advantage in the NBA Finals if they make it back.

That doesn't mean the Warriors' work in the regular season is finished quite yet however. The Spurs remain just two games back with both teams having 10 games remaining.

The Warriors have made it known securing the top seed isn't the biggest priority for them as they'd rather ensure they're completely healthy and prepared to make a deep run in the postseason. Of course the Spurs have had that same approach for the last 20 years.

It will be interesting to see how it all unfolds in the last few weeks of the regular season. Homecourt advantage has an impact no matter how much teams like the Warriors, Spurs and Cavs want to downplay it.
