The Chicago Bears have made some interesting decisions throughout the offseason. They let go of some decent talent and mainly focused on building up the defense. Many are frustrated with the lack of weapons surrounding Justin Fields, however, Chicago will be better suited for that next year. For this team to have any chance in the upcoming season they'll need the rookie class to step up. We look at one possible undrafted free agent who will make the Bears' 2022 roster.

Although fans would like to see a gem arise within the wide receiver room, the Bears didn't bring in many exciting options. The front office signed 16 undrafted free agents, giving the coaching staff plenty to work with. Even so, we might see a rookie safety make some noise throughout training camp.

Chicago could use some help almost everywhere, but the secondary could receive a boost from an undrafted free agent. Whether he's playing a backup role or strictly on special teams, it doesn't matter. The Bears' defense might be a bit more competitive than many realize, but for that to happen, multiple players must step their game up.

With that in mind, here is our one undrafted free agent to make the Bears' 2022 roster.

Bears Undrafted Free Agent To Make 2022 Roster

Amari Carter

After spending five years playing for the Miami Hurricanes, Amari Carter enters the NFL as an undrafted free agent. He joins a mediocre secondary that's led by two exciting rookies in Jaquan Brisker and Kyler Gordon. However, Carter can be a unique addition to the Bears' defense, as he could be a standout rookie through training camp.

Amari Carter proved to be a decent contributor during his time in Miami. In his final season, he recorded 45 total tackles (three for a loss), one interception, and one pass deflection. He typically helped more with run support, as he is a solid tackler as a prospect. That will likely be what he relies upon through the summer in the hopes of making the Bears' final roster.

Carter will have his work cut out for him though. There are currently nine safety's on the roster. Additionally, it's likely three of those players are already guaranteed a spot on the team. Even so, Amari Carter has the tools necessary to earn a rotational role for the Bears. At the very least, this kid could become an elite option for the special teams unit.

Considering the Bears played poorly in pass coverage last season, the coaching staff brought in a haul of young players to boost the secondary. Amari Carter will have a real chance to make the roster, as there is a plethora of young talent battling it out for playing time. If he can put together a strong camp, then the team should reward him with a spot on the final roster.

Keep an eye on Carter throughout the summer. It'll be a busy time for him as he develops his game. Look for the Bears to monitor him closely, as he could be a standout rookie in training camp.
