All in all, here are 10 of the best NBA shoes released this season. Maybe these sneaker releases signify that the best is yet to come in the new year.
10. UNDER ARMOUR CURRY 4
Remember when Kevin Durant said that no one wants to wear Under Armour shoes? It was definitely an ill-advised comment that had no basis. At least, that's the case for these Under Armour sneakers. Stephen Curry has an eye for comfortable, basketball shoes. He has proved it with the creation of the Under Armour Curry 4s. These shoes go back to the brand's original warm blue and black color scheme. The high-top shoe is designed differently than most commercial sneakers, mainly because the shoot extends upward to the ankle. This makes the Curry 4s an ideal shoe for true ballers at heart because it protects the ankle from any wear and tear on the court.
The Curry 4s also feature the signature Stephen Curry logo at the bottom of the shoe. The black color pattern stylishly coalesces with the blue color towards the middle of the shoe. The sneaker even some decent air holes at the foot of the shoe to relieve pressure from the owner's foot. Stephen Curry's signature shoe is the perfect purchase for those looking to emulate the star point guard's success on the court. They are also economical, not exceeding $200 in most outlets and stores. One day, Durant will have to take back his comments about the Under Armour brand. 9. THE TEN: NIKE REACT HYPERDUNK
Who knew Jordan Clarkson had a taste for quality shoes. There are a lot of things right about this shoe. The foam insert at the bottom of the shoe fits the whole shoe perfectly. It gives the owner stability and comfort while they are on the court or on the streets. The holy-white color is the biggest takeaway, however. In fact, the color matches the Lakers' uniform well. Jordan Clarkson has a good eye, for sure. The Nike sign is amazing. It's black at the end, then is followed by a streaky and polka-dot pattern. The material the shoe is made of some quality stuff. I can't put my finger on it, but this shoe is one of Nike's best.
The unusual thing about this shoe is that the Nike Hyperdunk series isn't the most popular, mainly because they are bulky and expensive. This brand is noticeably different. The Nike React Hyperdunks follow a streamline design and are compact. The only downside is that these shoes are just like the rest of the Nike Hyperdunk series in terms of cost. They generally fetch a retail price upwards of $400.
8. NIKE PG1 PE
Paul George has always been an underrated member of the exclusive Nike club. That changed forever when he was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder this summer. Just take a look of at these shoes. They look awfully familiar to the shoes of a former MVP who left the team some time ago. That may not be a coincidence, since Paul George and Kevin Durant are both signed with the Nike brand. Still, these shoes aren't bad at all. The OKC Thunder have always had brilliant colors. The highlight of these sneakers is the bright orange, yellow, and blue pattern at the bottom of the shoes. They catch your eye a bit, not because these shoes look identical to Nike KDs, but because the color scheme makes you fall in love even if you aren't a Thunder fan.
The head honchos at Nike stylized this shoe brilliantly to give the PG brand a new look in the OKC color scheme. These shoes are cheap, and they are just the kind of low-top Nike sneakers that fans have been salivating for in the past few years.
7. NIKE LEBRON 15 GHOST
Let's get one thing straight. LeBron James is Nike's megastar. His shoe brand is the best selling Nike shoe on the planet, and that isn't by accident. Just by taking a look at these beauties you can see why this is the case. The Nike LeBron GHOST is designed in a unique pattern that will catch the eye of anyone, whether you are wearing the shoe or just watching. The bottom of the shoe is covered in a rough design that extends from the shoe's bottom to the back. This is followed by a smoother patter that rests below the ankle, and a totally sleek pattern that encompasses the lower part of the shoe. The design is on point to where you can barely identify the shoe strings. The only normal thing about these sneakers are the resisters on the bottom that add comfort to the feet.
Even for this particular brand, this is a new direction for the best selling Nike brand. Judging by the look of the court those shoes were on, you can assess that LeBron James was playing the Washington Wizards while wearing these shoes. In 2017, the Cavaliers beat the Wizards twice, so you can say that these Nikes are definitely the real deal.
6. NIKE KYRIE 3 PE
Don't sleep on Kyrie Irving's signature Nike brand shoe. It is one of the best selling Nike shoes in the world. By looking at them, it isn't hard to tell why. Particularly, the rose-like pattern at the base of the shoe is just immaculate. The clear plastic film at the bottom of the shoe complements the entire design. In fact, these sneakers aren't similar to the Boston Celtics' color scheme but that's perfectly alright. These shoes are wonderfully designed in black and white, with gray and red on the bottom. With Kyrie Irving's crazy flat-Earth theory, you can't help but wonder if these shoes are trying to paint a bigger picture by the scoring wizard himself.
Considering that Irving has done this in the past, that is certainly a true possibility. However, what could he be trying to tell us with these beautiful shoes? Does the rose signify that the Earth is a delicate 2-dimensional flower, or is the absence of green on the shoe trying to tell us that there is no Earth at all? No one can ever know.
5. AIR JORDAN XXX2 ‘ROSSA CORSA'
Air Jordans are easily the NBA's most popular shoe. They have been around for nearly 30 years and are the spirit of Michael Jordan himself. In marketing terms, it's simple. If you create signature shoes for the NBA's most legendary superstar, millions of fans and players will want to wear them. These pair were worn by Otto Porter of the Washington Wizards. It'c clear to see why Porter chose these sneakers. They're all-red, which are one of the Wizards' main playing colors. These sneakers have also two main layers. You can see the secondary layer wrap around the back of Porter's foot, while the main layer wraps around his feet and toes. The shell of the shoe is styled with distinct grooves and lines, giving these sneakers an unique identity.
The whole shoe is stylish and trendy, which is the case of most of shoes in the Jordan brand. These shoes show tat Nike has long way to overthrowing the king of NBA sneakers. It's not clear if these shoes are comfortable, but they aren't that expensive.
4. AIR JORDAN XI ‘WIN LIKE 82'
Marcus Morris has an eye. These types of Air Jordans never go out of style. It isn't clear what the term, “Win like 82” means. Michael Jordan wasn't in the NBA in 1982. Still, it's catchy. The colors are a little off-beat for the Boston Celtics, but make no mistake, these shoes are a delight. The delicious blue and white color scheme, the light-blue plastic foam at the bottom, and the sneakers' glossy finish is stunning. These shoes aren't cheap, but they are one of the best basketball shoes on the market right now.
3. ADIDAS DAME 4
Did you forget that Damian Lillard was a proud member of Adidas? These shoes won't ever make you forget again. The Adidas Dame 4 aren't the most stylish shoes on the market, but they fit Damian Lillard very well. These sneakers look comfortable and resilient, which are ideal qualities for fans who want to get the most out of their purchase. For Lillard, these shoes look lethal, which translate to the star point guard's on-court demeanor and killer instinct.
2. ADIDAS CRAZY EXPLOSIVE ‘NUGGETS PE'
Adidas has a unique style that doesn't fit the taste of everyone. It's hard to imagine any sneakers being appealing with the Denver Nuggets' colors. Adidas never ceases to amaze me, since these shoes are probably the best shoes using the Nugget's colors. If you look closely, you can see a short cartoon man with a red beard on Jamal Murray's other shoe. The Adidas Crazy Explosive brand is coming to life, and these shoes have been one of the hallmarks of the 2017 year for its unique colors and design.
1. ADIDAS CRAZY EXPLOSIVE ‘KNICKS' PE
The Cleveland Cavaliers and the New York Knicks have had some interesting match-ups this season. In lighter news, Kristaps Porzingis may have captured both match-ups, breaking out his new edition of the Adidas Crazy Explosive brand. What's more to say? These sneakers have an elegant blue and orange color scheme, and the material that makes up this shoe looks sleek and visually-appeasing. The picture tells the whole story. These sneakers show that Adidas is on the rise. In fact, 2018 gives us hope that Adidas will make more team editions of their new brand.
