After a promising 3-0 start to their season, the Denver Broncos have completely fizzled out and lost four straight games. Currently sitting at the bottom of the AFC West, the Broncos need to shake things up and get their mojo back if they want to have any shot at making the playoffs this year. Granted that may come as a challenge with the deep talent pool that exists within their division, but it wasn't that long ago that they were tied for first place in the AFC West, so it's not all that crazy to assume they could achieve this again.

With a ton of issues that need to be addressed and a series of miscues that have proven to be very costly for them, the Broncos have some serious work to do if they want to save their once-perfect season from going completely down the drain. So with all this in the fold for Denver, here are the two best trades the Broncos must make ahead of the 2021 NFL trade deadline.

Broncos trades

Eric Kendricks

Now that Von Miller seems to have a lost step or two and has been out injured, a changing of the guard at linebacker may be overdue for the Broncos. Making a trade for Eric Kendricks would revitalize their defensive front and provide them with some much-needed athleticism, toughness, and versatility. His ability to thrive in man and zone coverages would give the Broncos a huge boost on defense and add a seasoned and high IQ talent to their rotation.

Kendricks has shown time and again that he can anchor the defense and set the tone by making some skillful plays. As they look for ways to improve their defense and save their once undefeated season, the Broncos could definitely use an upgrade on defense, and trading for Kendricks would be a quality move for them to make.

David Njoku

With the Browns having signed Austin Hooper in 2020 NFL free agency and selecting Harris Bryant in last year's NFL draft, it's starting to seem like David Njoku's time in Cleveland will soon come to an end. In Denver, he'd have the opportunity to excel as their new number one tight end, and Njoku would provide the Broncos with another deep threat outside of Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton.

Plus with his size, speed, and playmaking ability, he would elevate the Broncos offense and give them a huge upgrade in their aerial assault. In an overcrowded Browns offense, it's been hard for Njoku to cement his place in their game plan. In Denver, he would fill a void for them at tight end and give them a long-term solution at a position of need on offense.

At 25 years of age, Njoku is still just scratching the surface of his potential and is still improving and expanding his game with each season. On the Broncos, he would be able to revive his playing career and blossom into the Pro Bowl-caliber tight end he's more than capable of becoming. If ever there were a perfect player for the Broncos to add on offense, it would undoubtedly be David Njoku.
