Miami made another run deep into the postseason, advancing to a Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Finals, where they were ultimately dispatched by the Boston Celtics.

The Heat followed up their impressive showing with a solid NBA Draft, bringing in first rounder Nikola Jovic with their lone pick. We'll get to him in a minute. As NBA Summer League action begins in Las Vegas on Thursday, here are two reasons for Heat fans to be excited.

2 Reasons Heat Fans Should Be Hyped For NBA Summer League

2. Kyle Allman Jr.

Not many NBA fans outside of the Miami area may know Kyle Allman Jr., though he is putting his name on the map ahead of 2022 NBA Las Vegas Summer League action. Allman flashed his skills during the Heat's California Classic Summer League game against the Golden State Warriors.

A 24-year-old point guard, Allman struggled a bit from the field in the contest, posting a 1-for-8 mark from the field. Many Heat fans were likely looking away when the Brooklyn native shot the ball against the Dubs. However, Allman impacted the game in more ways than with his shot.

The Heat guard dished out 10 assists while chipping in four rebounds and a steal. The Cal State Fullerton product is athletic and a capable ball-handler and playmaker, something that is already making him stand out. Allman has also been solid on the other end of the floor as well, affecting passing lanes with his 6-4 frame.

It's eye-catching for Heat fans, as the point guard position has quickly become a concern for the team. Starter Kyle Lowry has dealt with injuries and was called out by Heat president Pat Riley for his conditioning, or lack thereof.

As such, Heat fans are on the lookout for any sort of talent at the point position, behind Lowry and backup Gabe Vincent. Allman could be that guy to provide a spark off the bench for Miami. With a strong showing in Las Vegas, he could put himself in the driver's seat for a roster spot.

1. Nikola Jovic

Everyone was wondering when we'd get to Nikola Jovic. After his excellent showing against the Warriors in the California Classic Summer League contest, Jovic had to be on this list.

He showed exactly why the Heat drafted him in the first round. In 29 minutes, Jovic tallied 25 points, nine rebounds, and five triples, shooting 9 of 16 from the field. There was no hesitation from the 6-11 forward on the offensive end of the floor, as he was aggressive in picking his spots.

He got hot quickly from beyond the arc, while showing a nice touch inside the three-point line, sinking a patented, Dirk Nowitzki-fade at one point. On defense, he seemed to rotate more quickly and moved better overall. It's only NBA Summer League, but Jovic flashed the ability of someone who looks like they'll adjust to the pro game quickly.

If he keeps this up, Jovic will be an important year-one contributor for the Heat off the bench.
