The Pittsburgh Steelers finished as the three seed, holding a record of 12-4 last year. The AFC North is a tough division, as the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens are making a push to become the best. It'll be tough for the Steelers to maintain control of the north, as the roster has made quite a few changes this offseason.

Those changes may have a negative effect on the team as a whole, so it'll be interesting to see how the franchise responds throughout the 2021 season. We watched this team struggle in the later portion of last year, as injuries caught up to the roster. The passing game was the only thing that seemed alive during that time, as the run game was stagnant and the defense struggled after losing their key players.

Bringing in Najee Harris should improve the run game, but the changes on the offensive line might slow this offense down. Although the defense has lost a few players, they should still be one of the best in the league. The Steelers have two players on the offense that have high expectations for next year. However, the fan base should temper those expectations. With that said, here are two overrated players on the Steelers roster.

2. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger

Ben Roethlisberger is entering his 18th season of his career. He's currently 39 years old, pushing the limits of longevity. He's been a consistent cornerstone for this franchise, winning two Super Bowls, and is a likely Hall of Fame candidate. Even so, everything is pointing towards a down year for the Steelers legend, as he could be a reason why the Steelers miss the playoffs altogether.

Big Ben has nearly suffered every injury imaginable, the offensive line is worse than it was last year, and his arm strength is a concern as well. There is no questioning how great of a quarterback he has been, but it seems father time is catching up to Roethlisberger. We'll see how he does once the new season starts, but Steelers fans shouldn't rely on Roethlisberger anymore.

1. Wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster

Juju Smith-Schuster burst onto the scene in 2018, putting up 1,426 yards and seven touchdowns in that season. However, we haven't seen him come remotely close to that type of production since then. He's grown a following through social media, which has helped him stay relevant through the years. Smith-Schuster is not an elite receiver and needs an alpha on the team to help him play.

Hopefully, Chase Claypool or Diontae Johnson become elite targets in the passing game, as Smith-Schuster could thrive. The fact he is so reliant on his teammates is the reason why Juju is considered overrated. His one good season was when he played alongside Antonio Brown, which was Brown's last elite season as well. Smith-Schuster could have a good year in 2021, but it all depends on how involved Claypool and Johnson are in the offense.

Additionally, with Roethlisberger's age being a factor, all of the Steelers' receivers could struggle. If that's the case, then Smith-Schuster could be in for a down year that negatively affects his value in free agency next offseason.
