After drawing first blood in Sunday's heavyweight bout against the Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Los Angeles Rams are undefeated through the first three weeks of the 2021 NFL season and currently sit atop the crowded NFC West.

With Pro Bowl quarterback Matthew Stafford now under center for the Rams, they're offense looks more dynamic than ever, especially with a balanced and potent passing game that features the likes of Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, Van Jefferson, DeSean Jackson, and Tyler Higbee.

On the flip side, they're defensive front led by All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald has been absolutely smothering all season long and been able to overpower opposing offensive lines on a weekly basis. Add to that an elite secondary led by Pro Bowler Jalen Ramsey and Taylor Rapp, and the Rams have all the depth and athleticism needed to power their way through to another NFC title.

Led by coaching sensation Sean McVay, the Rams could may have a legitimate shot at bringing home their first Super Bowl title in over two decades. With a big divisional match-up against the Arizona Cardinals up next for them, let's take a look at two big takeaways from the Rams impressive Week 3 win over the Bucs.

Rams takeaways from Week 3 victory vs. Buccaneers

2. Rams receivers torched Buccaneers corners

Between Kupp, Jackson, Woods, Jefferson, and Higbee, the Rams receiving corps totaled 331 receiving yards to go along with four touchdowns on 24 receptions.

After Stafford was finally able to connect with Jackson on a 75-yard touchdown pass, it seemed as if that opened the flood gates and allowed the Rams to run an air raid offense. It also seemed as if the Bucs secondary had no answer for their offensive outburst that took place on Sunday.

Currently boasting a ton of depth and firepower on offense, this will only enable the Rams to utilize the passing game and continue their dominant play each week. This is especially true now that they've handed the Buccaneers their first loss of the season and gotten off to a 3-0 start. With Stafford's seamless ability to move the ball around and keep all their receivers involved, their offense looks absolutely unstoppable and will continue to light up the scoreboard as the season progresses.

1. LA had a well-balanced defense

With a collective effort from the Rams top-ranked defense, they were able to come up with some big stops and shut down the high-powered offense of the Buccaneers. Kenny Young, Jalen Ramsey, and Darius Williams set the tone for them defensively with 2o tackles between them. Aaron Donald and Leonard Floyd both had timely sacks and Taylor Rapp, David Long, and Jordan Fuller were also big for them on Sunday.

If the Rams can get this kind of production out of their defense on a weekly basis then the rest of the league is in trouble cause they very well could make their case the new team-to-beat in the NFC.

That may be a bit premature after only three weeks of football, but considering the opponents the Rams have knocked off during their current winning streak, it wouldn't be the least bit surprising to see them keep up this level of play throughout the season.
