The Memphis Grizzlies are having a phenomenal season led by the breakout campaign from Ja Morant. Morant has turned into a superstar and is leading Memphis on a great run.
The Grizzlies sit in third place in the Western Conference with a 39-18 record, only trailing the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors. Their young core is coming together and could make some noise in the playoffs.
While Memphis hasn't always been a destination for buyout candidates, this season could be a different story. Morant is one of the most well-liked players in the NBA, and many players would be interested in playing with him. Although it's not a city like Los Angeles, the Grizzlies are an enticing roster to join.

2. Dennis Schroder
Dennis Schroder was traded at the deadline from the Boston Celtics to the Houston Rockets. He has emerged as a buyout candidate as Houston is in the midst of a rebuild. Schroder plays with a ton of energy and effort on every possession.
His defensive intensity and ability to score at all three levels make him a great role player. Schroder is averaging 14.4 points per game paired with 3.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists. He is shooting 44 percent from the field and 34.9 percent from behind the arc.
Schroder would be a great addition off the bench, adding firepower to the team. The Western Conference has multiple contenders, and getting as much talent as possible will be crucial to taking them down.
1. Gary Harris
Gary Harris is a three and d wing that would fit well with the Grizzlies. While he may not get as many minutes on the Grizzlies, his production would bring great depth to the team.
Harris is averaging 11.6 points per game while shooting 44.3 percent from the field and 38.6 percent from three. The 27-year-old wing plays solid defense and shoots the three-ball at a good rate. Teams can never have enough three and d players as they fit well around superstar players.
Harris would get even more open looks with Morant as his point guard. Morant draws the attention of the defense while also being a great playmaker. He is averaging 26.4 points per game and 6.8 assists. Morant is having an MVP caliber season and makes the players around him better.
The Grizzlies have gone from a lottery team to a contender, improving every year since Morant was drafted. Memphis has a bright future ahead and has a shot at the title this season.
The Warriors and Suns will be the toughest outs in the West. While Golden State has struggled the last few seasons, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green are leading the way back to contention. Meanwhile, Phoenix has kept rolling from their run to the NBA Finals last season.
Devin Booker and Chris Paul are having incredible seasons once again, and it will be hard for the Grizzlies to overcome them. However, adding some pieces in the buyout market could help them get over the hump.
Harris and Schroder are both viable options to add more depth to the roster. Schroder would be another good scorer off the bench and provide energy and hustle defensively. Harris would give them depth at the wing position to help defend players like Curry and Booker in the postseason.
