Niels Lane, a 4-star guard in the 2020 recruiting class, has committed to Mike White and the Florida Gators, according to Corey Evans of Rivals.

The 6-5 shooting guard, who attends Roselle Catholic in New Jersey, took his official visit to Gainesville back in early September and clearly he was impressed to the point of making the Gators his choice.

UConn, Georgia, Miami, Providence, Texas, and Xavier were among the other teams in his final seven schools.

Lane is rated as the No. 4 player in New Jersey and No. 84 player overall in the 2020 class, according to 247Sports.

Florida now has three commitments in the class, as White has also landed 4-star small forward Samson Ruzhentsev and JUCO forward Osayi Osifo.

The Gators have a top-five class for this season, which includes two 5-star talents in Scottie Lewis and Tre Mann to go along with 4-star center Omar Payne and 3-stars Jason Jitoboh and Ques Glover.
