Five-star combo guard Nimari Burnett was down to his final four schools of Alabama, Texas Tech, Oregon and Michigan in his recruitment.

During the early stages of the national signing period, he made his commitment official as he will be heading to Lubbock to play for coach Chris Beard of Texas Tech.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound guard out of Chicago recently had Alabama and Oregon check in on him and it looks like that wasn't enough as he ended up going with the Red Raiders.

Nimari Burnett is currently playing for Prolific Prep in Napa, California. The combo guard is ranked as the No. 5 combo guard in the country, No. 7 player out of Illinois and No. 22 player in the country according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

He also had offers from Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio State and UCLA among others.
