Heading into the 2020 NFL draft all the talk was about all the trades that could happen during the first round. It took a while for the first trade to happen, but four did end up happening. Let's break down the four trades, and the grade for each team involved.

San Francisco 49ers Trades No. 13 and No. 245 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for No. 14 and No. 117

Buccaneers Grade: B

There had to be some concern that someone else was going to call the 49ers to work out a trade, which is why they worked out the trade with the 49ers. The Buccaneers drafted Tristan Wirfs to be an anchor for the offensive line. The Buccaneers needed to get offensive line help, so giving up Pick No. 117 to make it happen wasn't too terrible.

49ers Grade: A

The 49ers weren't ever going offensive lineman, so getting an extra pick while still getting their guy in Javon Kinlaw is a big win for them.

New England Patriots Trades No. 23 to the Los Angeles Chargers for No. 37 and No. 71

Patriots: C –

Picking up two picks is nice, but moving down 14 picks with all the talent on the board seems like a loss. They still quite have their quarterback situation figured out, maybe the 23rd pick could have been used on that.

Chargers: B-

It seems the Chargers feel in love with Oklahoma Sooners middle linebacker Kenneth Murray. They probably could have waited for a few more picks, but if there were no other options, they did what they needed to get their player.

San Francisco 49ers Trades No. 31, No. 117, and No. 176 to Miami Dolphins for No. 25

49ers Grade: B +

The San Francisco 49ers got their wide receiver by trading up, but it still put them in a tough spot for the rest of the draft in terms of draft selections. If they had come into this draft with more picks, they would have received an A.

Vikings Grade: A

The Vikings knew even trading pick they would still have one of their top cornerbacks on the board. They were still able to pick up a couple more draft selections too, which gives them more availability to trade the rest of the draft.

Green Bay Packers  Trades No. 30 and No. 136 to Miami Dolphins for No. 26

Packers Grade: D

The Packers jumped in front of teams that didn't need a quarterback to draft Jordan Love. Love probably won't even start for the team for at least three years. The Packers didn't actually give up a whole lot to move up four spots, but this actually has more to do with the player selected.

Dolphins Grade: B+

The Dolphins' pick at 30 was a bit of a surprise selecting Auburn cornerback Noah Igbinoghene. But it seemed the be the guy they had their mindset on. The Dolphins were able to select the guy they wanted while also picking up another draft pick.
