Sunday's 2021 Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway will get the new NASCAR season going, and it's no surprise Denny Hamlin has the best odds to win at 17/2 after winning the race the last two years, via CBS Sports. Hamlin's victory in 2020 marked his third Daytona 500 win in his career, as he also won in 2016.

Hamlin's tight victory by 0.014 seconds over Ryan Blaney last year didn't come without controversy. Ryan Newman's wreck as he came to the finish resulted in him going to the hospital, and Hamlin apologized for his post-race burnout celebrations while Newman's health status was still unclear.

This year, Hamlin also co-owns a car with Michael Jordan. Bubba Wallace will be behind the wheel of the No. 23 car.

Hamlin is looking to become the first three-peat champion in the event's history.

Chase Elliott, the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series Champ, has 10/1 odds to win the 2021 Daytona 500. Joey Logano, Kyle Larson and Blaney round out the top five with 11/1 odds.

The 2021 Daytona 500 broadcast will start at 2:30 p.m. ET, with the race likely starting closer to 3 p.m. ET.
