Somehow, some way we are already heading into Week 7 of the NFL season, meaning that you have had six weeks to understand what kind of fantasy football roster you have and what your weak spots are. Week 6 opened up plenty of opportunities for potential waiver wire pickups, which is where the upcoming list compiles its options from.

As is with every week, all 10 of the following options are currently rostered on fewer than 50 percent of all ESPN fantasy football rosters, meaning the odds are good that you can use one of your waiver wire pickups on one (or more) of the following options.

Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 7

10. Donovan Peoples-Jones – WR
1.2% Rostered
Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns have had injuries hit their team hard over the past few weeks, as Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, Jarvis Landry, and Baker Mayfield have all experienced bumps and bruises. But with injuries, other players are forced to step up, which is what Michigan product Donovan Peoples-Jones has done.

Stepping in alongside Odell Beckham Jr., DPJ has earned 11 targets across the past two games, turning that into 9 receptions for 171 yards and 2 TDs. Understanding that prior to Landry’s injury, DPJ only had four targets across three games, so his role is reliant on an option being out ahead of him – however, for the time being, DPJ offers up solid WR2/3 value, provided Mayfield does not miss time with his injury.

9. Rhamondre Stevenson – RB
12.2% Rostered
New England Patriots

Two consecutive weeks of eight-plus touches bodes well for rookie Rhamondre Stevenson, as he looks to be solidifying himself as the RB2 behind Damien Harris in New England. Having scored his first career TD in Week 6, Stevenson was able to earn fourth-quarter red zone carries, an important sign that he is trusted in key situations.

With the Pats facing the Jets next week, Stevenson could be an underrated bye week fill-in option, with RB3 potential for the season.

8. T.Y. Hilton – WR
23.1% Rostered
Indianapolis Colts

The old itch that never can fully be scratched – T.Y. Hilton looked good in his first game this season, hauling in all four targets for 80 yards. As he and Carson Wentz establish a relationship, Hilton very well could offer up solid value as a proven veteran for your Week 7 waiver wire pickups.

While he may have left early with a quadriceps concern and is day-to-day, he looks to just be suffering some wear and tear after not having been out there for a while. If he looks to be healthy, you could do much worse looking for a WR3.

7. Tua Tagovailoa – QB
25.3% Rostered
Miami Dolphins

Returning from his rib injury, Tua Tagovailoa produced his third-career 300-yard outing, albeit against the Jacksonville defense. However, facing the sieve that is the Atlanta defense in Week 7 can be a great option for anyone needing to add a bye-week savior to their fantasy football roster.

The Dolphins are tough to crack for their offensive attack, and while Tagovailoa looks to have enough trust from the coaching staff, he may not be a season-long fantasy option – tread lightly, but this week is going to be one of the best times to utilize him in your lineups.

6. Tyler Conklin – TE
17.8% Rostered
Minnesota Vikings

Even heading into their bye week, adding Tyler Conklin can help you solidify your tight end spot, regardless of if you’re rostering an injury-prone option (Rob Gronkowski) or have an upcoming bye for your starting TE. Having commanded five targets, Conklin turned that into his highest yardage output of the year, even if only on three receptions.

The Vikings’ TE usage is reliant on their WRs and RBs being covered, so Conklin has boom/bust potential for the rest of the year – still, he is their TE1 and his snap count shows that.

5. J.D. McKissic – RB
46.1% Rostered
Washington Football Team

Having Antonio Gibson ripped away from us yet again this year is not something that fantasy football fans should have to deal with, but after suffering calf and shin injuries, J.D. McKissic was thrust back into the fantasy-relevant role for Washington.

McKissic recorded a season-high eight carries, which says a lot about the kind of hold Gibson has on this backfield – but since he is known more for his receiving skills, he holds a ton of PPR value if Gibson is on a snap count or misses time.

4. D’Ernest Johnson – RB
1.1% Rostered
Cleveland Browns

A quick turnaround, mixed with losing Hunt in Sunday’s contest and Chubb’s status unknown, means that Cleveland may be forced to turn to two of its backup options for their TNF game against Denver. For fantasy football rosters looking to roster an option from a run-oriented backfield, D’Ernest Johnson could be that option.

He and Demetric Felton (more on him later) likely would work as the 1-2 split in the backfield, with Johnson the more likely option to command the carries and Felton as the receiving option. With many uncertainties surrounding the CLE offense at this point in the week, keep an eye on injury designations for their backfield – Johnson may have the safest floor of the options for Thursday, and certainly can be a part of your waiver wire pickups for the week.

3. Rashod Bateman – WR
14.3% Rostered
Baltimore Ravens

RECOMMENDED (Article Continues Below)

Making a Baltimore Ravens’ wide receiver a focal part of your waiver wire pickups this week is an unlikely outcome, but the kind of expectations that have surrounded rookie Rashod Bateman this year leading into his first game certainly backs that up.

Six targets, four receptions, and 29 yards certainly is nothing to shout about, but Bateman was thrown into the fire immediately, demonstrating their plans for his involvement early on. Playing third fiddle in the passing offense, Bateman can be a mid-season add that can provide breakout opportunities and be solid WR depth.

2. Demetric Felton – RB
2.6% Rostered
Cleveland Browns

If using the game plan after Hunt went out to judge what to expect on Thursday, Felton may be the guy to pick up for the Browns this week, although much is still unknown. Having failed to earn a single carry this season, Felton has recorded exactly two receptions in four games this year, boosting his value in PPR fantasy football formats.

Facing a strong DEN defense with a hobbled QB, Felton may need to set another career-high snap count this week (Week 6 he played a career-high 12 snaps). Knowing who, between Felton and Johnson, will be the best option to take is impossible, but as Thursday gets closer, the picture should grow clearer – Felton holds a higher upside with his proven receiving game work.

1. Alex Collins – RB
46.6% Rostered
Seattle Seahawks

Injuries are hitting the Seattle Seahawks hard and at the same time, as Russell Wilson will be missing time with his hand injury and Chris Carson is out with a neck injury. With Alex Collins stepping in for Carson, he produced a 100-yard, 1-TD game, but came out of the SNF contest with hip and glute injuries.

With a slight chance to play next week against the Saints, Collins would again assume a major workload for the Seahawks – but if he cannot go, then they would be forced to turn towards a member of Travis Homer, DeeJay Dallas, and Rashaad Penny, with Penny returning to practice this week.

As is the case with the CLE backfield, keep your eye on reports throughout the week to dictate your waiver wire pickups for this backfield – but if Collins is healthy, make him a priority.
