As it truly matters heading into Fantasy Football Week 10, a familiar face seems to have resurfaced as one of the elite tight ends we are used to seeing. Is George Kittle back to his old self? It's time to continue our fantasy football series with our fantasy tight ends Week 10 preview.

The tight end position is not seeing very high production outside of 7-10 usual players. Guys like Travis Kelce, Darren Waller, Mark Andrews, and TJ Hockenson will produce at a high level more often than not. Some guys are getting close like Kyle Pitts and Mike Gesicki. Besides a few other names, it's tough to get fantasy football production from anyone else. Offensive game plans don’t usually favor the tight end. Let's take a look at what tight ends you should consider starting and sitting for Week 10.

Fantasy Football Week 10 Start ‘Em

George Kittle – San Francisco 49ers

George Kittle played extremely well against the Arizona Cardinals this past weekend. The 49ers didn't play great as a team but that didn't stop Kittle from playing like one of the top tight ends in the NFL. Kittle caught six passes for 101 yards and a touchdown in the loss, resulting in over 20 fantasy football points. That is a good sign for not only fantasy owners but for 49ers fans. Kittle is one of the dominant tight ends when healthy.

Kittle and the 49ers face the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night who are ranked 23rd against opposing tight ends. That is a favorable matchup and Kittle could be in line for another solid performance. He could be helping a ton of fantasy teams get ready for a playoff run.

Dawson Knox – Buffalo Bills

Knox missed the last two games with a broken hand. He is set to return in a favorable matchup against the New York Jets. Prior to the injury, Knox started to catch fire reaching 20 fantasy football points in consecutive games. He then broke his hand against the Tennessee Titans and hasn't played since.

The Jets rank 24th against opposing tight ends which should benefit Knox. He could come back and get going once again with Josh Allen looking to redeem himself from last week's 9-6 loss to the Jaguars. If you need a tight end this week, Knox is a solid option if he does indeed play.

Mike Gesicki – Miami Dolphins

Gesicki started to come alive before two average games the past two weeks. He didn't reach 10 fantasy points in the last two weeks but should be in line for a better game this week. The Dolphins face the 31st ranked Ravens defense on Thursday night. This should be a great opportunity for Gesicki to get back into his groove. If you have the opportunity to start him, I would consider it for Week 10 but do it fast.

Fantasy Tight Ends Sit ‘Em

Jared Cook – Los Angeles Chargers

Jared Cook is a solid veteran for the LA Chargers. He is a great leader for the offense and Justin Herbert. His fantasy value, however, is not where it used to be. The targets aren't coming often and he is a streaky player so far this year. It's tough to tell when he will show up because the Chargers display a good amount of weapons. Backup tight end Darnold Parham Jr. is getting more red zone looks than Cook.

Cook and the Bolts face the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday who rank 6th against opposing tight ends. This would be a good time to bench Cook if you already haven't.

Dallas Goedert – Philadelphia Eagles

Goedert is now the main tight end in Philadelphia with the absence to Zach Ertz. Goedert had a great opportunity against a favorable matchup last week against the Chargers but didn't perform. He caught only three passes for 43 yards in the loss.

This week he faces the third-ranked Denver Broncos defense against opposing tight ends. He isn't likely to play well and should be benched for Week 10 unless you are forced to start him.

David Njoku – Cleveland Browns

David Njoku caught just one pass last week but it resulted in an 18-yard touchdown. He is on this list just in case many fantasy owners thought about starting him. He dominated the Chargers early in the season with a seven-catch 149-yard performance. That likely won't happen again, especially this week.

He should not start in your league because he will go up against the top-ranked New England Patriots defense against opposing tight ends. This is a difficult matchup for Njoku and he likely won't be utilized much.
