We are getting closer to the fantasy football playoffs. If you are serious about winning your league, then this is a crucial time to pay attention and adjust your roster accordingly. This week, there are some added names that should be dropped from your team for Week 12. With that being said, here is your Week 12 fantasy football drop list.

It's been another year full of injuries and we have seen a good amount of backup running backs produce. Many starters are returning from injuries, however, so it's time to consider letting go of certain players on your fantasy football team. The Philadelphia Eagles saw the return of Mile Sanders, Clyde Edwards-Helaire returned to the Kansas City Chiefs, and Saquon Barkley returned to the New York Giants, Monday night.

There are also players that are not producing and aren't worth keeping on your roster. Let's take a look at some of those names to consider dropping.

2021 Fantasy Football Week 12 Drop List

Fantasy Football Drop List: TOUGH Choices

Adrian Peterson – Tennessee Titans

The Adrian Peterson experiment isn't working out quite as well as he had hoped. The Titans are now utilizing D'onta Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard just as often and the production isn't there. This is now a completely different Titans offense without Derrick Henry and Julio Jones. It's too risky to keep Peterson on your roster when he hasn't proven to get more than seven fantasy points in two of his three games. He lead the team in carries with nine in Week 11 but it resulted in just 40 yards. It would be a smart decision to get rid of Peterson now and find someone with a little more value moving forward.

Matt Ryan – Atlanta Falcons

The last two games resulted in a combined 2.7 fantasy football points for Matt Ryan. He played really well from Week 3 until Week 7, and again in Week 9 but other than that hasn't been valuable. Ryan is without top receiver Calvin Ridley for an uncertain amount of time. The former MVP doesn't have the weapons as he used to and he is losing his value really fast. Ryan doesn't have a favorable schedule ahead as he faces some tough defenses. There are better options out there at this point in the season and he should be removed from your team unless there is an injury.

Jamal Agnew – Jacksonville Jaguars

Jamal Agnew was just starting to get going when he went down with a season-ending hip injury. It's another blow to the Jag's offense who lost DJ Chark earlier in the season as well. Agnew is proving to be one of the better return specialists in the NFL and a contributor on offense. Many fantasy owners added Agnew to their lineups and started him around Week 5 of the season. Agnew won't return this season so he should be dropped in every league.

Rashaad Penny – Seattle Seahawks

RECOMMENDED (Article Continues Below)

Many fantasy football owners picked up Rashaad Penny when starter Chris Carson was placed on the injured reserve. Apparently, Penny was going to be more involved in the Seahawks offense in Week 11 but he sustained a hamstring injury. Penny has been dealing with the injury bug most of his career and isn't someone they can rely on. If he returns this season at some point he could see reps with Carson out for the season. But for now, Penny isn't worth keeping on your roster.

Jordan Howard – Philadelphia Eagles

Howard is going to miss Week 12 with a knee injury according to Eagles' head coach Nick Sirianni. The Eagles got Mile Sanders back so they will be utilizing him more often anyway. Boston Scott is used frequently in passing situations and will get more reps now that Howard is in Week 12. In weeks 8-9, Howard played well and was their primary running back with Sanders out. Now that Sanders is back it's going to be tough for Howard to continue to get carries unless it's short down yardage. There are better options out there and it's smart to get rid of Howard from your roster now.

Eno Benjamin – Arizona Cardinals

James Conner is now the No. 1 back in Arizona after he continues to lead all running backs in touchdowns on the season. Benjamin is serving as the backup with Chase Edmonds still on injured reserve. It's going to be tough for Benjamin to get carries moving forward with how frequent Conner is out there. Conner is playing extremely well and that is going to limit Benjamin. He's been removed from a ton of fantasy football leagues already and isn't worth keeping on the bench.
