Wide receivers are an important position to pay attention to for Week 13. The fantasy football playoffs are in two weeks for most standard leagues and owners need to pay attention. It's time to continue our fantasy football series with a breakdown of the wide receiver position.

There are a lot of good matchups to pay attention to this week. Some players are going to see more targets with some injuries to the top guys. With the fantasy football season winding down, wide receivers could make or break your team. It's never a guarantee that they will perform to their capabilities because of the lack of plays with the ball. The guys on the Start ‘Em list this week should see a ton of targets this week with a good matchup ahead of them. With that being said, let's take a look at the wide receivers fantasy owners should consider starting or sitting for Week 13.

Fantasy Football Week 13 Start ‘Em

Brandon Aiyuk – San Francisco 49ers

Brandon Aiyuk should be a must-start in Week 13. Deebo Samuel will miss some time with an injury and that opens up a big door for Aiyuk. The 49ers are playing very well lately, however, Samuel was a major part of their success. Even with him out, the 49ers can count on Aiyuk to fill in and lead the team at the receiver position. He caught three passes on six targets for 91 yards in the win over the Minnesota Vikings. The game prior he caught all seven of his targets for 85 yards and a touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars. If he continues his short run of success he could really benefit your fantasy team last in the season. Aiyuk faces the Seattle Seahawks who rank 18th against opposing receivers.

Jaylen Waddle – Miami Dolphins

Waddle is now the Dolphins' clear No.1 option. He's playing lights out this year leading all rookies in receptions. He and Tua Tagovailoa have great chemistry and it's paying off. He's fresh off nine catches for 137 yards and a TD against the Carolina Panthers. He will go up against the New York Giants who rank 23rd against opposing receivers and is a must-start for Week 13. Waddle is benefiting a ton of fantasy owners right now and is making a solid case for Offensive Rookie of the Year. Waddle is in line for another solid game against the Giants.

Hunter Renfrow – Las Vegas Raiders

Renfrow is quietly playing very well for the Raiders this season. With Darren Waller hurt and possibly missing some time, Renfrow's value goes up. He's caught at least three passes in every game this season and five or more in nine games. In PPR leagues, he is very valuable. He and Derek Carr show great chemistry and will continue to connect regardless of how good defenses are. Renfrow is a great route runner which has always been his elite trait. He faces the 29th ranked Washington Football Team on Sunday which should allow for another solid game. He should be seriously considered this week with the absence of Waller.

Week 13 Fantasy Wide Receivers Sit ‘Em

DK Metcalf – Seattle Seahawks

Since the bye week four weeks ago, Metcalf's production has gone way down. He started off the season on fire but seemed to have lost his connection with Russell Wilson since Wilson's injury. He caught just one pass on four targets for 13 yards Monday night against the WFT. That might be the worst game of his short career but that certainly shouldn't happen again. I expect him to play better but I'm not sure it will be worth starting. He needs to prove he can get back on track as it's too risky to start him with three-straight bad outings.

RECOMMENDED (Article Continues Below)

Mike Williams – Los Angeles Chargers

Williams is certainly letting fantasy football owners down as of late. His first three games were outstanding but since then only has two good games. The Chargers are a way better team when he is involved but the problem is that he isn't being targeted much. When he does catch the ball it's usually for a really big play but Justin Herbert has trouble finding him since his 16-target game in Week 5. Like Metcalf, I would bench him until he proves he can get back into his rhythm.

Jerry Jeudy – Denver Broncos

Jeudy caught just two passes for 25 yards in the win over the Chargers on Sunday. He's missed a lot of time with an injury this year but now that he is back he hasn't had that breakout game yet. He's also yet to find the endzone this year which shows that his fantasy value isn't very high. I would bench him maybe for the rest of the season as there are better options out there.
