The fantasy football playoffs are just one week away in most standard leagues. If you are in contention, now is the time to really dial in. It's time to continue our fantasy odds series with a breakdown of the quarterback position.

Fantasy quarterbacks are very important this week and it's crucial you choose wisely. In Week 13, we saw the return of Kyler Murray and Taysom Hill and they both played well in terms of a fantasy performance. Those two should be started in your leagues if the opportunity is there. There are some good matchups to look out for this week so with that being said, let's take a look at who fantasy owners should consider starting and sitting at the fantasy quarterback position.

Fantasy Football Week 14 Start ‘Em

Taysom Hill – New Orleans Saints

I thought Hill would be an iffy fantasy football starter last week and he somewhat proved me right. He threw four interceptions against the Dallas Cowboys but that didn't ultimately hurt his fantasy performance. Hill reached over 20 fantasy points per ESPN. He could also see the return of Alvin Kamara this week which should help a ton. Hill rushed for over 100 yards and threw two touchdowns in the loss. He faces the 22nd ranked New York Jets in Week 14 and should be considered to start. He should play even better this week because of the weak defense.

Dak Prescott – Dallas Cowboys

Prescott didn't play his best last Thursday night against the Saints. This week should be different as he faces the Washington Football Team who are ranked 32nd against opposing fantasy quarterbacks. Amari Cooper is back and they should get the chemistry going again. CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup are playing well enough to get Dak back on track. If he is an option there shouldn't be any doubt in starting him. WFT is playing very well lately but their secondary gives up a ton of yardage.

Russell Wilson – Seattle Seahawks

Wilson's return has yet to see any real success even though they beat the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Wilson's fantasy value isn't where it was early in the season but it has a chance to find itself in Week 14. The Seahawks face the Houston Texans who are not playing well at all right now. They rank 17th against opposing QBs. Wilson has a great chance to take advantage of that and get back on track against a favorable opponent.

Fantasy Football Quarterbacks Sit ‘Em

Joe Burrow – Cincinnati Bengals

Burrow somehow managed to finish the game against the LA Chargers with a dislocated pinky on his throwing hand. He seemed to be in a ton of pain throwing the ball which could be a bad sign for this week. Burrow faces a favorable matchup on the other hand, but I think it's too risky to start him because his throwing arm will be affected. The Bengals take on the 49ers who are ranked 23rd against opposing fantasy quarterbacks.

Kirk Cousins – Minnesota Vikings

Cousins is playing very well this season and a huge part of that is the lack of turnovers. His three interceptions through Week 13 is a career-high and his fantasy football value is elite. This week might be a different story, however. He could be without star receiver Adam Theilen on a short week. They play Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers who rank 19th. That will be a huge absence for the Vikings and that will affect Cousins for sure. There are better options this week.

Taylor Heinicke – Washington Football Team

Heinicke is leading the WFT back into playoff contention. They face the Dallas Cowboys this week who rank 14th against opposing fantasy quarterbacks. His fantasy value isn't quite there, however, and isn't a reliable option to start. He hasn't surpassed 15 points in two weeks and has only reached more than 20 four times. He's playing well enough to keep his starting spot but needs to improve his fantasy value in order to be considered useful in fantasy football.
