The 2021-22 NFL regular season is now well underway while the first two weeks of this year's slate have been absolutely electric. With seemingly every game producing some sort of rewatchable highlight, with just about every primetime game becoming must-watch television, it will incredibly difficult for Week 3 to keep up this time around. In this post, though, we're looking at Fantasy Football Week 3 quarterbacks you need to start and sit.

Even though we are only approaching the start of Week 3 of the 2021-22 regular season, things are already becoming quite important for at least one portion of the NFL community — fantasy football managers. These back-and-forth games that have featured huge plays and some close calls, fantasy football managers' seasons may be going swimmingly through the first two weeks of the year — or very, very badly thus far.

While many are already 2-0 or an even 1-1, both of which would put anyone in prime position to still finish the year of a high note, a winless 0-2 start is not the easiest to rebound from.

Although setting a dominant lineup week in and week out is important for every fantasy football manager regardless of record, those that are 0-2 are going to need to pay close attention this week. While running backs, wide receivers and tight ends often steal the show, it is imperative that struggling teams start a quality quarterback in Week 3.

Start ‘Em Fantasy Football Quarterbacks

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs

Although starting Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is a no brainer every single week in which he is on the field, this week might be just a bit different. While Mahomes and the Chiefs rarely losing games, the heralded AFC West franchise certainly doesn't lose two games in a row — something that the former league MVP, two-time AFC Champion and Super Bowl Champion will surely not allow.

With the Chiefs coming up just short against the always dangerous Baltimore Ravens in Week 2, which immediately followed a Week 1 win over the pesky Cleveland Browns, Kansas City now has a massive AFC West clash against the Los Angeles Chargers, an up-and-coming franchise in today's NFL landscape. Thanks to the magnitude of the looming matchup, there is just no way that Mahomes doesn't deliver in Week 3.

Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals and quarterback Kyler Murray have been red hot since the start of the 2021-22 regular season with the NFC West franchise already taking down both the Tennessee Titans and Minnesota Vikings. While Murray's impressive play and the Cardinals' well-roundedness on both sides of the line of scrimmage certainly play a part here, it is actually Arizona's Week 3 opponent that makes the prolific signal caller a must play this time around.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are arguably the worst team in the entire NFL this season with the lowly AFC South franchise already coming up short against the Houston Texans, another brutal squad, and Denver Broncos. With the Jaguars currently serving as a sorry excuse for an NFL franchise, Murray and company should steamroll Jacksonville in Week 3 without any issues.

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

Fresh off one of the best — if not the best — performances of his NFL playing career to date, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson could be on his way to yet another MVP caliber season. There are absolutely no signs of Jackson slowing down despite a depleted Ravens roster that has been decimated by injuries at every turn.

With Jackson most recently leading his team to a potentially season-defining win over the two-time defending AFC Champion Kansas City Chiefs, an opponent like the Detroit Lions shouldn't stand a chance in Week 3. With the Lions the exact opposite of being on fire and Jackson using both his arm and legs to get it done for the Ravens, Baltimore should have yet another impressive performance against Detroit.

Sit ‘Em Fantasy Football Week 3 Quarterbacks

Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns

The New York Giants aren't a terrible football team after all. Although the Giants certainly aren't an outstanding football team at the present moment, New York has been more than competitive through the first two weeks of the 2021-22 regular season. With the Cleveland Browns entering this matchup as the sure favorite, it could very well turn into a trap game for quarterback Baker Mayfield and company.

With the Browns blowing a lead against the Kansas City Chiefs back in Week 1 before taking down the Houston Texans in Week 2, it might just be better to play it safe by staying clear of Mayfield in Week 3 — especially with the status of former Giants wide out Odell Beckham Jr. still in question and fellow Cleveland wide out Jarvis Landry recently landing on injured reserve.

Sam Darnold, Carolina Panthers

Thursday Night Football is not the time to rely on a quarterback as far as fantasy football is concerned. Even with the piping hot Carolina Panthers slated to take on an absolutely dismal Houston Texans team to kickoff Week 3, it is simply better to be safe than sorry when it comes to selecting your fantasy football quarterback this time around.

Even with former New York Jets signal caller and Panthers newcomer Sam Darnold playing well in Carolina, this one might get ugly quickly, which could cause the NFC South franchise to slow the game down while avoiding throwing the football all over the field against the Texans, who will be starting quarterback Davis Mills under center.

Zach Wilson, New York Jets

At one point during last week's matchup against the arch rival New England Patriots, New York Jets rookie quarterback Zach Wilson had four completions and four interceptions. Even as the second overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft while immediately being given the keys to the car in East Rutherford, Wilson clearly isn't ready to excel as a professional signal caller with Week 3 now on the immediate horizon.

This doesn't mean that he won't go on to have a rock solid NFL playing career, but Wilson just doesn't have what it takes at the present moment to star for your Fantasy Football roster. With the Jets still having a long way to go as a franchise, even aside from Wilson, an undefeated opponent with a stout defense like the Denver Broncos likely won't be the team to turn things around against.
