There are a couple of interesting breakthroughs that could happen in Week 6. Some quarterbacks don't get the attention they deserve for obvious reasons … as only eight to 12 start per week. Although, there are some that could perform better than your usual starters. With that being said, it’s time to continue our fantasy series with a fantasy football week 6 quarterbacks start ’em sit ’em evaluation.

The NFL saw some terrific QB play in Week 5. Tom Brady continues to redefine father time with a five TD blowout win over the Dolphins. Justin Herbert also scored five TDs, with Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen lighting up the field as well. Those names should continue to start each week. Some other names shined as well that usually aren't in lineups. Guys like Carson Wentz and Baker Mayfield lit up the field on Sunday, showing why they should be considered in some fantasy football leagues.

Most fantasy football teams will have a top 15 quarterback on their roster, so it's understandable why they stick with their guy. Bye weeks are appearing and it's better to steal the QB you might start in the coming weeks.

Fantasy Football Week 6 Quarterbacks Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em

Start ‘Em

Tom Brady – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

I shouldn't have to say this but yet here I am. Brady needs to start this week and probably for the rest of the year. Many drafted Brady late in drafts to be that safekeeping if needed. There are too many fantasy football teams out there that are keeping Brady on the bench for whatever reason. Besides the game against the Patriots, he has torched defenses and will continue to have multiple TD games.

His offensive weapons are too valuable for Brady not to outperform most of the other QBs. He faces an Eagles defense this Thursday night, who are ranked 11th against the QB. The numbers will say that this matchup doesn't necessarily favor Brady, but we all know that doesn't stop him.

Carson Wentz – Indianapolis Colts

Wentz is a guy that many players need to start paying attention to. He is starting to come along in his first year on the team. On Monday night, he threw for 402 yards and two TDs in the narrow loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Wentz produced over 22 fantasy points and should be able to repeat that against the Houston Texans.

He faces a Texans defense who are currently 17th against the QB. It is a divisional opponent but Wentz is expected to continue his run and perform well against the Texans nonetheless. If he manages to not turn it over, he could be a serious option moving forward.

Joe Burrow – Cincinnati Bengals

Burrow is becoming a star in this league. Injuries are getting in the way but he's managing to play through it. Aaron Rodgers told him to slide more and if he listens, he'll survive a lot longer in the league. In terms of fantasy football, Burrow is becoming a consistent producer.

Burrow is facing a Detriot Lions defense who is ranked 13th against the QB. The Lions manage to keep games close, but with injuries to their secondary Burrow should perform well once again.

Fantasy Football Week 6 Quarterbacks Sit ‘Em

Derek Carr – Las Vegas Raiders

There is a lot wrong with the Raiders after their 3-0 start. Aside from all the Jon Gruden stuff, Carr is underperforming. He was leading the league in passing yards through Week 4 but now doesn't seem like he'll continue that run. Carr threw for just 206 yards against the Bears. He ended with just seven points per ESPN.

This week he faces a Denver Broncos defense that ranks 2nd against QBs. It's going to be difficult for him to have a bounce-back game. If Carr hasn't already been dropped, he should be on the bench this week.

Dak Prescott – Dallas Cowboys

Prescott is putting himself in MVP conversations through Week 5. He is producing consistent numbers and is playing very well coming back from his injury.

Despite the great stretch of games, he faces a tough Patriots defense this week. New England ranks fifth against opposing QBs and should continue that even against this good Cowboys offense. If they can stop Brady, they can more than likely stop Prescott.

Sam Darnold – Carolina Panthers

Darnold played his worst game in a Panthers uniform this past weekend. He threw for just 177 yards and threw three interceptions. He ended with just six fantasy points per ESPN.

Darnold faces a decent Vikings defense this week. They rank 10th against QBs and should be able to contain him for most of the game. He has played well most of the season but should be on the bench this week.
