We are right in the middle of the fantasy football season! Receivers are continuing to play well. It's time to continue our fantasy football series with a breakdown on the wide receiver position. This time, we're focusing on Fantasy Football Week 9 wide receivers.

Receivers are a critical position for fantasy football. They can be very streaky because the ball isn't always in their hands. At this point in the NFL season, you pretty much know what you are going to get from your wideouts. With that being said, let's take a look at the receiver position for this week's start em and sit em.

Fantasy Football Week 9 Start ‘Em

Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts

There is no stopping Pittman Jr. right now. He is fresh off the best game of his career against the Titans. He scored two touchdowns while scoring one in the previous week. The Carson Wentz and Pittman connection is really starting to heat up.

Pittman faces the Jets on Thursday night on a short week. The Jets do cover receivers very well and rank 5th against opposing QBs. Despite their success, I think Pittman is a mismatch on most defenders and will play well on a short week. Pittman needs to be in your starting lineup this week.

Brandin Cooks, Houston Texans

Cooks is a steady receiver for this week. He played very well against Jalen Ramsey and the Rams last week, scoring a late touchdown. He caught six passes for 83 yards and the one TD.

The Texans face the 31st ranked defense against opposing receivers this week. The Miami Dolphins are all kinds of messy right now. They contain one of the leagues' best cornerbacks, but continue to allow points to receivers. Cooks should be in line for a great game this weekend.

A.J. Brown, Tennessee Titans

Much like Pittman, Brown is on fire right now. He has 288 yards and two touchdowns over his last two games. There is nothing that can stop him. The Titans are without Derrick Henry, so Brown will need to be relied on heavily, and could even rush a few times as well.

The Titans face the LA Rams this week in what should be a tough game. The Rams rank 19th against opposing receivers, so there is light at the end of the tunnel. Brown should see success this week, despite playing against Jalen Ramsey. I don't expect Tannehill to play that great, but he'll find Brown a ton.

Fantasy Wide Receivers Sit ‘Em

D.J. Moore, Carolina Panthers

Moore started the season on fire but has regressed a little. He didn't play great against the Falcons last week, resulting in only four catches. It's tough to tell if he will get back on track because of the poor play from QB Sam Darnold.

I would bench Moore this week until Darnold can figure out how to get Moore the ball. They face the 17th ranked New England Patriots on Sunday. The Pats are fresh off of a great defensive effort against the LA Chargers.

Jarvis Landry, Cleveland Browns

The Browns do not have a passing game worth anything right now. I could've added Odell Beckham Jr. to this list but he also hasn't played well all season. Landry and Baker Mayfield do have a good connection, it's just not showing up right now. I wouldn't trust Landry at all this week against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Marvin Jones Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars

Jones played well to start the year but has slowed down a bit. He played well in Week 6, but not last week against the Seattle Seahawks. He will now face the 2nd ranked Bullafo Bills defense. It is unlikely he plays well and should not be counted on this week. I would find other options than starting Jones.
