One of the most high-profile international talents in this year's draft class is finally off the board. Nikola Jovic, the Serbian unicorn, has been selected by the Miami Heat with the 27th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.

Fans initially poked fun at the Serbian having a near-similar name as the current reigning MVP Nikola Jokic. However, Jovic plays a lot differently than his compatriot on the Nuggets. For one, the Serbian has one of the most unique skillset in the 2022 NBA draft, as he's a long, lanky 6'11 guy who primarily plays on the wing for the team.

The Serbian initially turned heads during 2021 FIBA Under-19 World Cup with his stellar play for the Serbian national team. Nikola Jovic's smooth, fluid motion with the ball and playmaking ability impressed many NBA draft scouts. Clearly, it also impressed the tournament organizers, who handed Jovic a spot in the Mythical Five of the tournament.

The biggest draw to Jovic's game is his shot creation from the perimeter. The lanky forward has an uncanny ability to create shots for himself using various dribble moves to get to the rim and in the midrange. That, along with his aforementioned playmaking chops, makes him a potentially dangerous threat to NBA defenses.

As with most prospects, there are concerns surrounding Jovic's game, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. However, the Heat is placing their trust on him by taking him 27th overall in the 2022 NBA draft. They are banking on improvements from Jovic on that side of the ball, in order to be one of the standout players of this draft class.
