In the few years prior to joining the Miami Heat, all signs pointed to Victor Oladipo joining them. Now, with NBA free agency approaching, Oladipo's time in South Beach may be up before it even got started.

Oladipo made his way to Miami at the 2021 trade deadline. Since then, he has played just 27 games in a Heat uniform, 15 of which were in the playoffs, due to a quad tendon injury that he suffered shortly after the trade. After taking a year to recover and providing some big moments in the playoffs, the 30-year-old could leave in free agency for another team.

According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, Oladipo is not expected to re-sign with the Heat. At least three teams are showing interest in him.

Victor Oladipo is not expected to return to the Heat and is said to have interest from Washington, Denver and Detroit.

The Heat will be competing with the Denver Nuggets, Washington Wizards and Detroit Pistons to re-sign Oladipo. However, that competition is not very stiff. The Wizards and Pistons could offer Oladipo a rotation spot as they look to get back to the playoffs but neither team is expected to be one of the best in the league.

Denver is an intriguing option for Oladipo. He could compete for a championship alongside Nikola Jokic, a Miami enemy for injuring Markieff Morris' neck during the regular season.

Oladipo would be a solid bench piece for any team looking to make the playoffs. After numerous injuries zapped him of his star potential, he should look for a team that can help him win a ring in free agency. Both the Heat and Nuggets are two of the better teams he could sign with. A bidding war seems to be brewing.
