Blake Lovell and Dillon Reagan conduct their 2022 NFL Mock Draft live on the podcast, going in depth through the entire first round. After receiving the top selection with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Blake passes on offensive line help for Trevor Lawrence by selecting Michigan's Aidan Hutchinson. Next, the Detroit Lions shock the league by selecting quarterback Malik Willis with the second overall pick, setting off a chain of that events that sees the Giants landing both their star tackle and edge rusher of the future, the Panthers drafting their quarterback of the future, and much more.

With Malik Willis off the board, the Seahawks stay put at No. 9 and select pass rusher Jermaine Johnson II to pair up with Darrell Taylor as a potential dangerous duo. From there, the draft's top two cornerbacks come off the board, including Ahmad Sauce Gardner to a team trading up to No. 11 to make sure they land their guy. The Commanders didn't move back far, quickly selecting Drake London as another big weapon for Carson Wentz. The defensive theme of this mock draft continued until pick No. 16, where the Saints drafted a potential future stalwart who they hope can fill Terron Armstead's shoes immediately.

Unlike the first 16 picks which were dominated by offensive linemen and defensive players, skill position players led the way in this episode. Four receivers go off the board from picks 17 through 21, including Jameson Williams to the Chargers to create one of the best receiving trios in the league for Justin Herbert. That slew of pass catchers going in quick succession leads to a surprising pick for the Packers, with Green Bay hoping one of two other receivers left is still there for their next pick at No. 28. Another highlight is the Pittsburgh Steelers taking who they hope will be their long-term replacement for Ben Roethlisberger at quarterback.

The final eight picks are highlighted by the Bills improving their secondary, the Titans and Buccaneers grabbing major reinforcements for their offensive lines, the Packers and Chiefs drafting high-ceiling weapons for Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes, and the Bengals bringing in more protection for Joe Burrow with the memory of Super Bowl 56 still fresh.
