Former Minnesota Vikings pass rusher Everson Griffen is now officially an unrestricted free agent while notably spending the first decade of his NFL career as a member of the NFC North franchise. Now possessing the ability to sign with another franchise for the first time in his professional tenure, it remains to be seen as to where exactly Griffen ultimately lands.

Because this year's NFL Draft class is jam-packed with a ton of pass-rushing talent, it could be a little bit of time until Griffen finally does find his next home around the league. On the other hand, there are still quite a few veteran players on the open market that can help teams get to opposing quarterbacks with former Seattle Seahawks and Houston Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney currently sitting at the forefront of such a group.

However, the time will most certainly come when a team comes calling for Griffen, who can disrupt an opponent's gameplan like few others in the league today. Unfortunately for Griffen, though, that time may not come until either Clowney is officially off the board or the 2020 NFL Draft comes and goes.

It is also worth noting that in addition to Griffen and Clowney, who seem to be a tier above the rest of the field at the moment in terms of free-agent pass rushers, the likes of Markus Golden, Clay Matthews, Ezekiel Ansah, Cameron Wake, Michael Bennett, Jabaal Sheard, Derek Wolfe, and Ndamukong Suh all remain options for the following teams as well.

Seattle Seahawks

If the Seattle Seahawks are unable to retain the aforementioned Jadeveon Clowney, the heralded NFC West franchise is definitely going to need another pass rusher to pair with a veteran in Bruce Irvin, who will be manning his return to the Pacific Northwest in 2020. Because the Seahawks play in the NFC West division alongside the Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, and Arizona Cardinals, it is absolutely imperative that Seattle lands another pass rusher in some way, shape, or form this offseason.

If not Clowney or through the 2020 NFL Draft, former Minnesota Vikings pass rusher Everson Griffen could no doubt make an immediate impact in Seattle. With Griffin leaving the Vikings for the first time in his career, Seattle could very well be the best possible landing spot for the veteran defender.

Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans have already signed former Atlanta Falcons pass rusher Vic Beasley this offseason while the AFC South franchise will now begin gearing up to pair the former first-round pick with up-and-coming outside linebacker Harold Landry. However, the Titans also recently made the decision to trade veteran defensive lineman Jurrell Casey to the Denver Broncos in exchange for merely a seventh-round NFL Draft pick — or in other words, virtually nothing. As a result, it is hard to see the Titans not adding another presence to the team's defensive front this offseason as the tandem of Beasley and Landry don't seem to be quite enough as it stands today.

With that in mind, either Jadeveon Clowney or Everson Griffin must end up in “Music City.” Because Clowney will come at a very high cost, perhaps Griffin, his veteran presence, ability to get to the quarterback, and at a much lower price tag will be a more efficient option for Titans general manager Jon Robinson.

Buffalo Bills

With former New England Patriots and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady now officially out of the picture in the AFC East division, it appears to be the Buffalo Bills' for the taking. As a result, the Bills haven't held back whatsoever this offseason en route to acquiring or signing top-notch players left and right.

Addressing needs on both sides of the football, the Bills just don't seem like they are done adding talent just yet. Of course, the 2020 NFL Draft remains. Still, it appears as though Buffalo will continue to go for the jugular of the aforementioned Patriots, Miami Dolphins, and New York Jets throughout the offseason. If this is the case, Buffalo should seriously consider adding yet another veteran pass rusher while former Minnesota Vikings defensive lineman Everson Griffin should at least be near the top of the Bills list.

Adding Griffin would not only address a significant need for the Bills — and every other franchise out there — but it wouldn't force Buffalo to break the bank further as the team has already spent some serious money in addition to parting ways with valuable NFL Draft capital.
