Miami Dolphins free agent defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah very well could return to the franchise in 2022. The Dolphins are armed with a significant amount of cap space, some of which could be utilized to retain Ogbah, who has turned into one of the league's better pass rushers during his time in Miami. Still just 28 years old, Ogbah stands to make a payday during the 2022 NFL free agency period. That could price the defensive end out of Miami's plans, especially if the franchise decides to prioritize the offense this offseason. That means there is a very real possibility that Ogbah could be suiting up in a different uniform in 2022. But which teams make sense for Ogbah, besides the Dolphins? There is no shortage of teams who could use an extra pass rusher this offseason. Here are the three best landing spots for Emmanuel Ogbah in the 2022 NFL free agency period.

Emmanuel Ogbah Free Agency Landing Spots

3. New York Jets

Boy, this would be painful for the Dolphins. Not only would they lose Ogbah but they would lose him to a division-rival. It would be double the victory on the other side of things for the Jets, though. New York needs a pass rusher, which they could address in the draft, though it would make much more sense for New York to continue building their offensive line with young talent around franchise guy Zach Wilson, so the line can continue to grow with him. Enter Ogbah via free agency. The 28-year-old has accrued 18 sacks over the last two years and would instantly provide a boost to a Jets' pass rush that had the seventh-fewest sacks in the league last season.

2. Denver Broncos

The Broncos defense is already solid in this area, having racked up the 18th-most sacks and the 10th-highest pressure rate in the NFL. The Broncos have Bradley Chubb on one side, who has battled injuries during two of his four years in the league but has been effective when healthy. Signing Ogbah, who helped the Dolphins register the league's third-highest pressure rate, would give Denver a very formidable pass-rushing duo. The best way to counter high-octane passing attacks, which there are plenty of in the AFC West, is to pressure the passer. The Broncos would be able to do that better than most teams if they had Chubb on one side and Ogbah on the other.

1. Indianapolis Colts

This is perhaps the best fit for Ogbah. The Colts are coming off of a disappointing collapse that saw them fall out of playoff contention after they were seemingly poised for a run. One of the biggest weaknesses on the Colts is their pass rush, or lack thereof. Indy registered the second-lowest pressure rate and had the sixth-fewest sacks in the league. Despite that, the Colts managed to rank 19th against the pass, 10th against the run and ninth in scoring defense. Not only that, but they also forced 33 turnovers, second to only the Cowboys. Indianapolis did all that without a pass rush. Signing Ogbah in the NFL's free agency period would immediately make a difference in that area, making a solid defense stronger.
