As future of Hall of Famer and one of the greatest players to ever step onto a football field, it's crazy to think that All-Pro cornerback and Super Bowl champion Richard Sherman is still a free agent close to the start of training camp. On the other hand, it might just be that he has decided to take some time off from the game to contemplate his future and his next big move.

Whatever the reason may be, there most certainly will be teams interested in signing the five-time pro bowler prior to the start of the 2021 NFL season. With that said, let's take a look at the three best landing spots for Richard Sherman to properly utilize his multi-faceted defensive skill sets that contending teams will be in dire need of.

Richard Sherman landing spots: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

It's hard to imagine that there'd be a better place for Richard Sherman to finish out his career than with the reigning super bowl champion Tampa Buccaneers. His championship pedigree and hard-nosed approach to defense would make him the perfect veteran for this Bucs squad and add more depth and experience to their already explosive secondary.

In Sherman, the Buccaneers would be gaining a seasoned cornerback that has helped anchor some of the greatest defenses in league history. With his ability to play lockdown defense in a man or zone coverage, Richard Sherman has made a living off of forced fumbles, pick-sixes, and locking down some of the league's best wideouts.

In Tampa Bay, he would be a welcome addition to a Bucs team that was already ranked the best overall defense in 2020. Adding Richard Sherman to this nearly unstoppable defense would allow them to replicate that success in 2021 with the possibility of them winning back-to-back super bowls and Tom Brady winning his eighth Super Bowl.

Cleveland Browns

After pulling off a complete 180 last season, the Cleveland Browns will look to build off last year's postseason success and make another deep playoff push. The addition of Richard Sherman would greatly increase their odds, especially with the Browns already boasting a top-10 defense.

Richard Sherman would form an elite cornerback duo with Denzel Ward and complete their secondary which also features John Johnson III and Troy Hill.

Just two seasons removed from his last super bowl appearance, Richard Sherman knows what it takes to elevate a playoff wild card into a Super Bowl contender. Adding him to this already loaded and electric Browns defense would be a nightmare for receiving cores all season long and would place the Browns in the upper echelon of the AFC.

Los Angeles Rams

This move would continue Sherman's career-long trend of joining contending teams in the NFC West. In an already ultra-competitive division, Richard Sherman would bolster the Rams secondary by forming one of the best cornerback duos in the NFL with all-pro corner Jalen Ramsey. With the Rams having two of the best trash talkers and skill players on defense, it goes without saying that they'll shut down the league's best receivers on a weekly basis.

Given that the Rams have already undergone a few major roster changes this season, the addition of Richard Sherman would be another new addition that could elevate their playoff status. It would also give head coach Sean McVay another reliable veteran leader that could help the Rams get back to the Super Bowl.
