The Denver Broncos are widely expected to move on from Teddy Bridgewater this offseason, having been linked to both Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers early in the offseason. While it remains to be seen if the Broncos can achieve their goals and lure one of the star quarterbacks to Denver, it seems all but certain that Bridgewater will be on a new team in 2022.
There are a handful of teams in need of a quarterback this offseason, and with a draft class not particularly fruitful at the position, Bridgewater could draw some significant interest on the open market. Whether or not he gets handed a starting role remains to be seen, but he could be an ideal target for a team looking to for an upgrade at the position, or even an experienced backup.
With that in mind, here are three potential landing spots for Teddy Bridgewater in NFL free agency.

Teddy Bridgewater Free Agency Landing Spots
Baker Mayfield's struggles have seen him lose favor among Browns fans, and after his performance in 2021, Cleveland should strongly consider bringing in an experienced veteran as backup, or even to compete for the starting job. Mayfield played most of last season battling injury, and the results were plain to see. Mayfield was not good enough last year, and if the Browns are hoping to make a playoff push in 2022, they'll need more out of their former No. 1 overall pick.
Cleveland signing Bridgewater, even to a one-year deal, would act as a wake-up call to the struggling Mayfield. Showing their former No. 1 pick that he'll have to earn the starting job could be exactly what Mayfield needs in order to re-gain the form that had him considered one of the brightest young arms in football just a couple of years ago. If Mayfield continues to struggle, the Browns could feel confident in Bridgewater's ability to take over the starting job.
With Ben Roethlisberger's NFL career officially concluded, the Steelers, for the first time in almost two decades, are in the market for a new starting quarterback. Rumors have linked Pittsburgh to Liberty QB and projected first-round pick Malik Willis in the 2022 NFL Draft, but there's always a chance that he's off the board before the team picks at No. 20 overall. If the team elects not to trade up for Willis, it could mean they're willing to wait a year before pursuing their next franchise quarterback. Bridgewater would thus be the perfect target for the Steelers to bridge the gap (no pun intended) between now and their QB of the future.
Unless the Steelers decide to roll with Kenny Pickett or trade up for Willis, Bridgewater may be their best bet as they look towards the future. He's proven capable of handling a starting role in the past and was playing serviceably in 2021 prior to sustaining an injury. If the Steelers don't feel comfortable rolling the dice on a quarterback this year, Bridgewater could be the safety net they need.
The Saints' quarterback woes in 2021 were plain to see. Injuries plagued the team last year, with Jameis Winston missing most of the year to a torn ACL. Neither Taysom Hill nor Trevor Siemian inspired much confidence in his absence, and Ian Book proved he's lightyears away from being NFL ready. Winston is set for free agency, and it's unclear if the Saints are willing to take a gamble on him coming off a serious injury.
Bridgewater could prove a solid fit for the short-term in New Orleans, who managed to go 9-8 last year despite the quarterback carousel. He has experience in the Saints' system, having played there (and won five games in as many starts) in 2019. With some level of success in the past in New Orleans, the Saints could be open to the idea of bringing Bridgewater in on a one-year deal as they look to figure out the long-term future at the position.
