The Atlanta Hawks have built a great young core and have had a great season thus far. They have shocked the NBA world by making it all the way to the Eastern Conference finals. While no one predicted it, the Hawks have a shot at making the NBA Finals. The 2021 NBA draft will enable them to evolve even more.

Guard Trae Young has emerged into a superstar in this postseason. He has carried the load for the Hawks at such a young age. The Young-led Hawks are primed to be a great team for many years to come.

This team could add another great young player with the 2oth pick in the draft. Here are the 3 best options for the Hawks at No. 20 in the 2021 NBA draft.

Hawks NBA draft targets:

3. Forward Corey Kispert

Corey Kispert's draft stock went up tremendously in his senior year at Gonzaga. Kispert is a wing player and is one of the best three-point shooters in the draft. He shot 44 percent from three last season on 6.5 attempts per game. Kispert may not be a star, but he could be a perfect role player for the Hawks.

The Hawks offense is built around Young who constantly gets double-teamed. When Young gets dribble penetration it forces the defense to collapse leaving open shooters. Kispert would be a perfect fit in this offense as he can knock down the jumper.

If the Hawks select Kispert, they won't regret it.

2. Guard Tre Mann

Tre Mann took a big jump in his sophomore campaign at Florida. He averaged 16 points per game and shot 40.2 percent from the three-point line. His draft stock is projecting him to go in the first round and if he fell to the Hawks, he would be a great pickup.

Mann would fit well alongside Young and the Hawks whether he was a starter or coming off the bench. If Atlanta decides to draft Mann, he will make a big impact on the team.

1. Guard Chris Duarte

Chris Duarte had a great sophomore season at Oregon and increased his draft stock. Duarte averaged 17.1 points per game on 42 percent shooting from the three-point line. He would be the perfect pairing in the backcourt with Young. It would be a nightmare to defend both Duarte and Young as they are great at creating shots for themselves.

If Duarte is available at pick 20, Atlanta needs to select him.

The future

The Hawks are in a fantastic position as a franchise for the future. They had a very successful rebuild and are already ahead of schedule. Young elevated his play in the playoffs to lead Atlanta above where they should be. He has averaged 29.4 points per game in the playoffs along with 9.9 assists.

The team did a great job in building around him and is now in a position to make it to the NBA Finals if it can beat the Milwaukee Bucks.

Even if the Hawks are unable to make it to the Finals it is a very successful season. No one expected the team to be in this spot and they could get even better in the offseason. With a solid first-round draft pick, Atlanta will have an even better young core. It already has Young paired with other young players and a few veteran pieces.

If the Hawks make a great pick in the first round, they will make their future even brighter.
