It's been a shaky offseason for the Arizona Cardinals as rumors continue to swirl around Kyler Murray's frustration. The star quarterback clearly wants a new contract extension, but the front office has yet to act on it. For that reason, teams around the league are monitoring the situation in Arizona. We take a look at the three best trade destinations for Murray for a Cardinals trade.
Dealing Kyler Murray away would not be an ideal situation. It's difficult to find a franchise quarterback and the Cardinals would be left scrambling for his replacement. Even so, multiple franchises will come calling if the front office can't resolve the problem soon. We'll see how it all plays out, but as of now, it's not looking great for Arizona.
Three teams stand out amongst the rest as reasonable landing spots for Murray. The Seattle Seahawks didn't make the list, as they participate in the NFC West with the Cardinals. However, the other three franchises would vastly improve if they somehow talk Arizona into trading their superstar quarterback.
With that said, here are the three best trade partners for Kyler Murray and the Cardinals.
Potential Cardinals' Trades for Kyler Murray
The Pittsburgh Steelers are currently looking to replace Ben Roethlisberger. They've already brought in Mitchell Trubisky who will be competing for the starting job. However, if Kyler Murray becomes available, this franchise should be running to the phones to call the Cardinals.
Pittsburgh's offense would go from being decent to one of the best in the league. Although the Steelers have issues with the offensive line, Kyler Murray has the mobility to get out of nasty situations. The Cardinals could receive a haul of draft picks and might even conduct a quarterback swap to acquire Trubisky as well.
Another franchise that is arguably a quarterback away from being a contender is the Carolina Panthers. They showed a ton of interest in Deshaun Watson, so if Kyler Murray becomes available, it wouldn't be shocking to see Carolina all-in on trying to acquire the Cardinals' star quarterback.

That offense would immediately compete with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the best team in the NFC South. With DJ Moore and Christian McCaffrey, there's no telling what Kyler Murray could do with the Panthers. Additionally, the Cardinals are bound to receive a haul from Carolina if a trade comes to fruition between these two franchises.
One team that's on quarterback watch is the New Orleans Saints. After making a big trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, it's speculated the front office has a rookie quarterback in their sights. However, if Kyler Murray becomes available, New Orleans should focus their attention on getting a trade done with the Cardinals.
This team would suddenly go from being a borderline playoff contender to a sure-fire Super Bowl contender in the NFC. Murray would be throwing the ball to Michael Thomas, who is a superstar receiver just like DeAndre Hopkins. Additionally, pending his potential punishments from the league, Alvin Kamara would lead the way in the backfield. The Cardinals would likely receive a package they enjoy, as Jameis Winston could be on the table as well.
