The Indiana Pacers have made it clear that they are interested in trading some of their core players and role players. Jeremy Lamb has been one of the players reported to be dealt before this year's deadline, and it makes sense from the Pacers' standpoint because he hasn't been performing as well as they had hoped this season. This might be one of his worst years as a player, although a lot of it could be attributed to him being on a losing Pacers team and not being happy there.

He has averaged 10.2 points per game while shooting over 44% from the field throughout his career. Lamb is one of those players that can come off the bench for a contending team or go to a rebuilding squad and be one of the veterans to help out the younger players.

He isn't going to wow anyone when he is dealt with another team, and he isn't going to answer all the issues for a team that is seeking to be a title contender. Lamb still has some intangibles that might be considered an improvement for many competing teams, as he has some length at the guard position and should be able to reclaim his former form when he leaves Indiana.

Let's take a look at the three best trade destinations for Jeremy Lamb.

Jeremy Lamb Trade

Los Angeles Lakers

Jeremy Lamb was reported to be a target for the Los Angeles Lakers during the previous offseason. Los Angeles has certainly not played well this season, as they have not had the season they had hoped for, and a large part of that might be due to their below-average guard performance. Lamb isn't going to be able to address all of the Lakers' problems this season, but he might provide them with some decent minutes as a starting shooting guard or as a bench option.

Russell Westbrook, the team's point guard, hasn't looked great this season, and they don't have many other alternatives at that position. It might be in the Lakers' best interests to take a chance on him because, despite having a down year, playing next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis will relieve a lot of pressure from him, and he might be able to return to being the above-average scorer off the bench that he has been for most of his career.

Houston Rockets

Many speculations have circulated that the Houston Rockets are interested in dealing some of its older players, such as Eric Gordon. From the Rockets' standpoint, this makes a lot of sense since they are going to give some of their younger players the opportunities they need. Jeremy Lamb may be ideal for them if they decide to trade Eric Gordon and possibly D.J. Augustin. He could still come in and play off the bench, giving the younger players the opportunity to grow that they so desperately need.

Jeremy Lamb isn't quite as good as Eric Gordon, but he's still serviceable, and it'll be a fascinating choice for the Rockets if they go out and give him a go. He won't be under as much pressure in his new role, and he should be able to be one of their important players off the bench, so he could be able to turn things around and get back on track after a bad start to the season.

Cleveland Cavaliers

Collin Sexton and Ricky Rubio have been among the Cleveland Cavaliers' guards who have suffered injuries this season. They did an excellent job in the front office in acquiring Rajon Rondo, but he may not be someone who can help this club compete for a deep playoff run in the Eastern Conference. Jeremy Lamb isn't going to make this team a title contender, but he's a more than capable guard, and they should consider making him the backup or pairing him with Darius Garland.

Although it may be difficult for the Cavs to get a trade done for Jeremy Lamb due to his salary, it is something they should consider if they don't have to give up any of their key players. They've proved this season that they're a club capable of contending for a championship if everything falls into place at the proper moment. They have plenty of size on their roster, which helps them match up well with many of the other elite teams in the Eastern Conference, and adding a shooting guard who still has length might be of interest to this Cavs team.

Due to all the injuries that they have faced at the guard position this season, Cleveland could be the perfect landing spot for Jeremy Lamb.
