After making the Super Bowl two years ago, the Los Angeles Rams took a step back in 2019, finishing with a 9-7 record and missing the playoffs. Even after missing the playoffs, the expectations remain the same for the Rams heading into the 2020 season, it's Super Bowl or bust. Even though those are the expectations, there are some big question marks heading into the 2020 season. Let's look at the three biggest questions still facing the Rams.

Will Jared Goff be more consistent?

After paying Jared Goff such a large contract, the Rams really have no choice but to stick with him through the thick and thin. Last season there were times that Goff looked really good, and there were times when he looked like a rookie quarterback.

To end the season last year against the Arizona Cardinals Goff looked good throwing for 319 yards and three touchdowns. There was other games though where he struggled like against the Baltimore Ravens when he threw for 212 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions.

If the Rams want to have success in 2020 they need a more consistent Goff.

How will the defense look?

The Rams defense wasn't exactly spectacular in 2019 but they lost a lot of big-name key players of that squad. The Rams lost Cory Littleton and Dante Fowler to free agency. Eric Weddle also decided to hang up the cleats. The Rams also decided to move on from Wade Phillips as defensive coordinator, opting to bring in Brandon Staley.

The Rams brought in A’Shawn Robinson and Leonard Floyd in free agency, with the hope they can fill some of the holes on the defense. The team still has Aaron Donald, but the pressure will be on him even more to be a standout for the team. Will the new-look team be able to hold up to bring the Rams success?

Todd Gurley gone…now what?

Todd Gurley wasn't healthy the last couple of years for the Rams, but still losing him is a big loss. The team drafted Cam Akers in the second round, and still have Darrell Henderson Jr. who they drafted in the third round last year out of Memphis.

Malcolm Brown rushed for 255 yards and five touchdowns last year, and is still on the roster. The running back position is young, but all three guys are going to have a chance to prove they have what it takes to replace Todd Gurley this upcoming season.
