Through two games, it looked like the Brooklyn Nets were going to steamroll right through the Milwaukee Bucks. Then, in Game 3, Milwaukee won a wildly low scoring affair and followed that up by beating the Nets in Game 4.

There's a chance the Nets will be without James Harden and Kyrie Irving in Game 5. If that's the case, a lot of the burden will fall on the shoulders of Kevin Durant.

Home teams have ruled so far, winning all four contests. Will Game 5 be different? That's to be determined. Here are thee bold Bucks – Nets predictions for the ever critical Game 5 back in Brooklyn.

Kevin Durant will go for over 40 points

This doesn't sound like much of a surprise as far as a bold prediction. But, Kevin Durant has only eclipsed 40 points once in nine playoff games so far this postseason.

Assuming that either one of or both or Irving and Harden are out, KD will have to go into takeover mode.

Joe Harris has sputtered the last three games for the Nets against Milwaukee while the rest of the supporting cast has been average at best. This opens up the avenue for Durant to go nuclear against the Bucks.

Now, obviously if the two co-stars are out, the Bucks will make it the main point of emphasis to do everything possible to make KD's night miserable. But Durant is one of the best in the world, he'll always find a way to get his shots and get good ones.

This may be more by necessity than anything else, Durant will have to bananas in Game 5 and everyone knows it. He's more than capable of doing so for the Nets.

The over (218.5) will hit

The Nets and Bucks were the two highest scoring teams in the NBA this year. It'd be impossible to tell that by watching this series.

Betting wise, the under has hit in all four games so far and has hit fairly easily. For a reference point, the over / under was set at 235 right at the opening tip of Game 3. The final score was 86-83 (169 points). None of the four games have come particularly close to hitting on the over this series.

Game 5 has opened at 218.5 and even if Harden and Irving are out for the Nets, that's definitely been factored into this opening number. The law of averages say the two best teams scoring wise in the NBA will figure it out sooner rather than later. And it's not exactly like the Nets were a great defensive team during the regular season.

If you missed the first four games of this series and saw the over / under was 218.5 for Game 5, the assumption would be the over is the easiest bet in the world. How this series has played out between the Nets and the Bucks suggests otherwise.

Law of averages mixed with a super low number and, despite the injuries for the Nets, the over will hit in Game 5.

Brooklyn will find a way to win

No matter who is in or out of the lineup for the Nets, with Kevin Durant going wild for 40 or more points, Brooklyn will find a way to scratch out a win.

Having Harden and/or Irving would certainly help, but the trend in this series continues with the home team winning.

The Bucks dominated once Irving left Game 4 with the ankle injury and that initial shock for the Nets was too much to overcome.

Now, Steve Nash can lay out a blueprint and will have over 24 hours to do so in the case of Irving being out for Game 5. A plan will be implemented and likely already has been for whatever the lineup ends up looking like.

While Durant will be the primary focus, Joe Harris will have to step up as will Blake Griffin, Bruce Brown and others. If the first prediction comes to fruition and KD goes for over 40, the Nets won't need a whole heck of a lot from the others, just better performances than what they gave in Games 3 and 4.

Trailing 3-2 wouldn't spell the ultimate doom and gloom for the Bucks, they could still get it done in seven. It's just hard to imagine this Nets team, even banged up, losing three straight with a healthy Kevin Durant. He might not have much to work with, but it will be enough in Game 5.

This Nets – Bucks matchup now has a series within the series and it's become a best-of-three. A tip of the cap goes to Milwaukee for not mailing it in after losing the first two matchups. Now things get even more interesting as the series heads back to Brooklyn for Game 5.
